Stylish holiday home right on the Rhine with a dream view

In a prime location, directly on the Rhine and in the idyllic core of the village of Spay, you will find the "Ferienhaus am Fluss".

It offers 190 m2 renovated in 2014/15 and very tastefully furnished rooms for up to 8 people. All living rooms and bedrooms have a view of the Rhine and the untouched nature on the opposite side of the Rhine.

On three floors there is a living and dining area with 38 m2, a fully equipped kitchen, 5 bedrooms, 2 large bathrooms, 1 toilet, 2 large balconies, a room for the safe storage of your bicycles, washing machine, dryer, free internet access.

The cozy holiday home is perfectly equipped for families or small groups. It is the ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours, boat trips, wine tasting and many tourist attractions. But you can also relax here all year round in peace and extensively. The large living room, the spacious bedrooms and the two large balconies invite you to switch off and relax. Observe the passing ships, the many water birds, or lie down on a lounger on the upper, invisible balcony and sunbathe. Read a good book (you will find a fine selection in the house) and enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony in the moonlight at night.

Within walking distance there is a village shop, several restaurants and the shipping pier.

The house has been equipped by us so that you feel completely comfortable and are also provided with everyday things such as plasters and sewing tools.

In the morning, you can be pampered with fresh bread rolls.

Beautiful house on the Rhine!

We had a wonderful time staying here in Spay. The location and view of the Rhine couldn't have been better. The house was very clean and well furnished. The park just outside was amazing for the children. The town had the right amount of things for breakfast and dinner options. Beautiful place - hope to stay longer next time!

Exceeded expectations!

It looked lovely in the pictures, and was even better in person. The house is right in the river with beautiful balcony views and an overall tranquil feel. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Also, there's a walking/biking path right in front of the house that goes forever in both directions, and walks from the house to view castles was a wonderful surprise bonus. We had a fantastic stay.

Lovely home

This home was exactly as shown in the pictures and is very comfortable and spacious. The 3rd floor can get warm in the summer but the first floor was perfect for us. The kitchen was great for cooking. We would gladly stay here again.

Cute house with great view

Opening the doors in the living area and enjoying the view and the breeze was wonderful. The rooms had plenty of space, though the kitchen was a little tight. Walking along the river was great. There aren't many stores within walking distance, but everything you'd need is within 5-10 minutes by car.

Wonderful stay, great central location

We had a wonderful time at our stay in Spay. The location is idyllic, right on the Rhine River. Nice playground for a 2 yr old, just down the street (helped keep him busy during the day). This is a well situated house, and allowed us to easily explore the area by boat, bike, train, and car. Lots of bedrooms on several stories, so it provided our family lots of space to spread out. Towels and bedding provided by the host - which was nice! The hosts were easy to contact with any question. Great place to stay - I would highly recommend.

Relaxing on the Rhine

We stayed here for three nights in late June 2023. 5 adults and one teen loved this home—lots of space with everything we needed including comfortable beds and bedding. The washer and dryer were a plus since we are traveling around Germany from the USA. We ate at the Flair Hotel Alter Posthof, a 5-minute walk two nights in a row. It is THAT good. Get reservations if you want to sit in the beer garden. Other reviews complained of the noise of the trains and river boats but I'm afraid I have to disagree. It was quiet and peaceful. We slept with the windows open and were in heaven. We shopped at nearby Rewe and Lidl/Aldi and had wine and cocktails every evening on the deck overlooking the Rhine. We found an excellent bakery nearby (a short drive) for breakfast. Lots of fun with the ducks and geese and the friendly neighbors and dogs. It was warm while we were here but the breeze flowing through the house was marvelous. Wonderful house, great location -- 8-minute walk to train station -- if we are ever back near Spay we will be sure to stay here again. I highly recommend this host and house.

Vacation with a great view!

My family, which consisted of three children, mother in law, husband, and myself stayed at this property in late February into early March. There was plenty of room for everyone to have their own rooms and the ground level living was great for my mother in law who can't do a lot of stairs. The kitchen was mostly equipped to cook for our large group but could have benefited from a few more pans for baking and more knives to cut meat at dinner. The living room with dining room was nice and big for a large group and we loved the balcony out from the dining room and the upper bedrooms. The heat worked great. The hot water was nice and hot on the top floor but we couldn't get much warm water in the ground level bathroom. Neighborhood is quiet, nice area to have kids play, and walking path along the river is great. Small off street parking area. House does echo a lot in the stairway so you should try to be quieter in that area. Information binder was only in German so make sure to have a translator app to take a picture of the pages if you do not speak German. Plenty of towels, beds were comfy, and plenty of storage for clothes in each room. FYI, roads leading up to the house are very narrow. Overall we liked this home and thought it was a good value. We would rent here again if in the area.

Tres bon logement, spacieux, tres propre, conforme au descriptif. Nous etions une famille 6 et mes parents. Le logement comporte au rdc 1 grande et 1 petite chambre avec salle de bain et wc (cetait ideal pour ma maman handicapee) . Le 1er etage comporte les pieces de vie avec une belle cuisine bien equipee. La vue sur le rhin est parfaite. Le reste des chambres se situe plus haut. Bonne literie. Bref, une mocation de qualité

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Im Haus hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir haben viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung gemacht. Es ging Bergauf und Bergab was für unser Plattes Land Schleswig Holstein und Hamburg manchmal anstrengend war. Aber am schönsten war der Blick direckt vom Haus auf den Rhein wo es einen regen Schiffsverkehr gibt. Immer etwas fürs Auge. Es lohnt sich dort Urlaub zu machen

Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen und der Ort war super für eine Großfamilie mit Kleinkind! Das Haus hatte eine super Aufteilung.Koblenz und Boppard waren mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln sehr gut zu erreichen.Optimal wäre es, wenn es noch ein Cafe in fuslaufiger Entfernung gäbe.

Wunderschöne ruhige Lage

Sehr freundlicher Empfang und im Ferienhaus war alles vorhanden, was man sich wünschen konnte. Einzig das WLAN ist eine Katastrophe und benötigt stündlich einen Neustart um dann im Schneckentempo zu funktionieren.Daher alles perfekt, wenn man kein Internet benötigt.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit herrlichem Blick auf den Rhein

Wir haben es sehr genossen in diesem großen Haus unser verlängertes Wochenende zuverbringen. Genügend Platz für 8 Personen. Küche mit allem, was man zum Kochen benötigt ausgestattet. Jede Menge Gläser, Besteck und Teller. Sehr gemütlicher Ess- und Wohnbereich. Wir haben alle gut geschlafen. Die Aussicht genial, direkt am Rhein. Die Umgebung lädt zum Spazieren, Wandern, Fahrrad fahren ein. Wir wurden sehr herzlich in Empfang genommen. Mit Nachtstromspeicherheizungen konnten die Zimmer beheizt werden, für die Übergangszeit gab es ein paar Stromagregate. Was jedoch am meisten Wärme gebracht hat, war der Kaminofen. Dieser war bei uns in diesen paar Tagen auch wirklich immer an. Für Holznachschub sorgte die Hausverwaltung. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Wir haben alle die paar Tage in ihrem Haus genossen. Ist auf jeden Fall weiterzuempfehlen. Wir hatten immer ein offenes Ohr von der Hausverwaltung, mussten nie lange warten. Es war sehr angenehm. Viele Grüße Familie Sturm&Vöge Wohnzimmer bereich

Kein Traumblick!

Wir haben dieses Haus wegen der 'Traumblick' auf den Rhein ausgewählt....das war für uns eine große Enttäuschung. Rechts sieht man von den Balkonen wegen 4 riesiger Bäume nichts vom Rhein und links ca. 10 % des Rheinblicks, der Rest wird durch 6 hohe Bäume versperrt; die Fotos auf der Website sind ca. 10 Jahre alt und werden der Situation nicht gerecht. Das Haus ist in Ordnung, nur schade, dass die Waschmaschine kaputt war.

Wunderbar sauberes Haus direkt am Rheinufer. Bäcker und Dorfladen sind fußläufig erreichbar. Übergabe hat super funktioniert, vor allem ist alles in der Wohnung was man braucht, auch Spiele für die Kinder. Wir kommen gerne wieder
