I have mixed reviews based upon my initial check in. The person at the desk was super friendly and check in was quick. I
checked into a room on the first floor and when I walked in, immediately I was hit with a mildew type smell that overpowered the room. I went back to the desk to let them know that I’d like a new room. The gentleman was nice about it, but he was not surprised by the request. I would think that guest services would have been a bit more shocked that their room smelled like old wet carpet, especially since this is a Hampton Hotel. I was given another room across the hall and it also smelled the same. Went back to the desk to request another room, again. The man at the desk asked if the smell I was referring to could have been the air freshener they use. It was an odd comment, but I don’t think his intention was off-putting.
Once we got to the third room on the third floor, it was so much better.
From there. the rest of the stay was ok other than finding a what looked like a pubic hair on the lotion dispenser at the vanity.
I did not want to bother calling to complain. Like most other Moms who are traveling with their kids in tow, I just cared about getting some rest.
Breakfast was good. Lots of options and it was all very fresh.
I always love booking with Hampton, but next time I’ll probably bypass this location.
Great place to stay to visit the Lincoln museum. The pool was loud and overcrowded on Saturday but my grandkids got to enjoy it before we checked out on Sunday.
Lobby and breakfast/dinner areas were updated and clean.
Hotel is 22 years old, and the rooms need updating badly. 1st room we got was discussing, like the other review said the upholstery was ripped and stained, the pull-out sofa was dirty and the bar to pull the bed out was showing right under the couch cushions. 2nd room shown smelled like an unclean public bathroom. Finally, the 3rd room was much nicer. Breakfast was decent but I couldn't believe they give you dinner also. Whether it was just something special they were doing for the week or something they do all the time, but it was good. They had taco Tuesday and Wednesday was fried chicken with a few sides. It saved a lot of money especially if you have a family. I would stay there again but I would ask for a nicer room when I book. The employees were very nice.
My room smelled like dogs. I told the attendant he said well we are pet friendly….. seems there could be dedicated rooms for pets like other places ,maybe ? That way one wouldn’t have to smell the former tenants animals. Other than that it was OK
Kelly went out of her way to make sure I had adjoining rooms. The property was as described. The rooms are very spacious. I would recommend this property and stay there again.
