Upon arrival, I had to wait for hours to receive a key and be escorted to my room although I booked and paid for my trip in advance. It was discovered that they put someone else in the room that I was supposed to have. When I got a different room, I couldn’t close the door securely. I had to use the bracelet key on the sensor to turn the door handle and pull in the door, anticipating the “click” sound it makes. I asked for maintenance to work on it. They came, checked it out, and said they will return but they never did. I called front desk and they said maintenance informed them that the door was fixed. When I checked it, I had the same problem.
The day I was leaving, I received a call from the bellman saying he was coming to pick me up to take me to the lobby. This happened minutes after 10:00am. Checkout time was 12:00pm. In other words, Royalton was eager to get me out but they were not hasty in finding me a room. I waited outside for a driver to pick me up but he took a very long time. I went back to the room to call the front desk, but I was locked out. The key didn’t work. Again, they were very late in providing a room for me on the day of arrival but very early in locking me out on the day of departure. Royalton was a royal disappointment.
