We had a great stay this past weekend. When we checked in I asked if they had a room with a sleep sofa also as we ended up having an extra person with us. They had a larger room and upgraded us to a two bedroom with a living room for a very very resonable rate. The staff at check in were very friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had about things in the area.
When we entered the room we were very suprised at how nice the room was. Room was very clean and everything worked great. Beds were all very comfortable and the view from both of the balconies was great. The only thing that could use updating maybe was the bathroom but it did not look bad at all just a little dated.
We are probably going back to the area in October and will definitely be staying here again.
The area and lakefront is beautiful. The place has so much potential but could use a little updating in some of the rooms and definitely a little upkeep on the grass and beach. Couldnât walk two steps without stepping in seagull poop. Itâs hard to play cornhole and use some other amenities because youâre too worried about everything getting dropped in poop. Besides these itâs a wonderful place right on the lake to stay!!
Great stay, right on the water with a great view. Close to everything. Would definitely stay here again. My only complaint was the pillows were too bulky and the coffee wasnât good so we had to go to the local coffee shop.
Not the friendliest front desk person. Expedia confirmed a top floor room for us, upon check-in we were told that Expedia did that not the hotel so we did not get a top floor. Of course we had an elephant above us. No luggage carts available, and we are on the far end of the hotel from the lobby, there may have been some there but had to make multiple trips. Saint Ignace hotels are expensive, but you may want to consider the extra for a nicer hotel.
This property stated newly remodled. However, the tubs were not changed out and was old and stained.
They do not clean the rooms or empty trash. When I ask for clean towels after 2 days, the gentleman at the desk was rude. Others had been before me asking for towels. He told them to put towels in the hall to get washed. He told me to bring the dirty towels down. Which I did not do.
Room was somewhat updated, bathroom was clean, but beds were not comfortable. The two queen bed mattresses were hard and sheets were obviously old because the bottom sheets did not have enough elasticity to stay on the mattress. Some of the sheets were yellowed and stained while one of the top sheets was clearly whiter. Balcony in our room only had one chair and the cement was crumbling under the railing. Beautiful view but railing situation felt a little unsafe.
This is a very cool place in a great location. Just avoid rooms in the high 130s/low 140s. Those rooms are directly below the breakfast room so all you hear from 6 - 9 is stomping, talking and squeaking chairs.
