Penny’s Place – Charming Downalong Apartment Near Beach and Harbour, Perfect for Families
Tucked away in the heart of St Ives, this lovely apartment makes an excellent base for discovering the charm of this historic harbour town. Accommodating up to four guests and one dog, it's perfect for families or friends seeking a coastal escape. Set in the characterful Downalong area, a delightful maze of narrow streets, it's just 200 metres from the golden sands of Porthmeor Beach and only 300 metres from the town's lively mix of independent shops, restaurants and cafés.
Beach lovers will enjoy the choice of six beautiful sandy beaches nearby (there are time-restrictions in high season but dogs are welcome outside of peak season), while keen walkers can easily access the breathtaking South West Coast Path and surrounding countryside trails.
Bright and inviting, the lower ground apartment is accessed via five steps from the street and then 12 steps down to the hallway, or alternatively through the rear patio doors, which open directly onto a courtyard with access onto Back Road East. Inside, the open-plan living, dining and kitchen area is modern and welcoming, complete with cosy seating and double doors that lead out to an enclosed courtyard patio. The property includes a bathroom with a full-sized bath and two comfortable bedrooms, one double and one twin. The enclosed rear patio has a table and chairs, and is a good place to store your beach equipment. Please note that although the courtyard is only for the use of Pennys Place, it's overlooked by neighbouring properties.

Bedroom 2: Contains twin beds, hanging rails, shelves, bedside tables and two lamps.

A seasonal shuttle bus also runs from the nearby Porthmeor Beach to the St Ives RFC (charges apply). Travel cot and highchair available on request.
