Best value around

This hotel was amazing, especially for the price. It's a bit older and I did have an issue with the water kettle, if I tried to use it, the power would go out for like 10 minutes. I could have complained about it but it really wasn't an issue for me. Breakfast was great and the place was very clean. The pool was really nice and relaxing. Would definitely stay here again.

A very good hotel

It's a nice hotel and the staff very helpful and friendly. I had a nice room with a balcony. Bathroom s bit oldish and needs updating. The room was big and airy with lots of light. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. I've stayed there a few times in the last 3 months.I will definetly stay there again and would gladly recommend this place. Overall very good hotel.

The hotel is off the beaten track in Qawra, not unusual for many hotels in Malta. Car parking can be a problem. Staff were friendly and courteous. Housekeeping was good. The facilities were fine and the hotel currently is renovating one level, which did not cause any problems during my stay. Good to see that maintenance was being done. The breakfast was fine, only ate in the restaurant once, not the best.

Enjoyed my stay at sunflower hotel

I enjoyed my stay at sunflower hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The room was nice and comfortable. The bathroom was a little outdated. The room had a balcony which was nice. Overall the room was clean.

I love the Sunflower Hotel, I have been going for 14yrs. I started going with my grandson, and now I go on my own. It is a great place everyone is so welcoming, it is like a big family now. It is a safe place when you are on your own as they look after you so well, nothing is any bother.

Good stay in Malta

The hotel is very good. Good meals nice cleaning ladies. They could improve by adding a water boiler and a small fringe to the room equipment. The swimming pool on the roof is amazing. Malda in general is very nice.

Not impressed

Our room was very spacious and clean but had only one European plug and one UK plug so we could only charge one device at a time. For some reason the room assigned didn't have the blind curtains so we would have light in the room very early in the morning. Most of the staff is very unpleasant (but that is common across all country) and they don't allow you to take away water from the breakfast meal even though the water available is filtered (not bottled) and they don't offer any water in the room. The AC in the room was not working and the toilet was broken (but functional). The mattress wasn't the best but it was ok for a couple of nights. The Wi-Fi worked ok most of the times, sometimes it would just stop working but I guess there's a lot of people for the same connection so it is understandable. Breakfast was very limited and not great taste (like the remaining food in Malta). The water on the pool (last floor) was too cold and the water in the indoor pool had too much chlorine. You can find a lot of great restaurants in the area around the hotel. To visit from the hotel i's better if you have a car.

The hotel was a decent location for sightseeing. 10 min walk to main square and bus station (in different direction) hotel clean but decor dated. Great if you just need somewhere to sleep and shower. Hotel staff helpful. Roof pool just being painted to get ready for the summer season (27-30 apr stay) looked like it would be a great amenity. Breakfast not great but again overall good for price. Tried to get a drink at the bar twice and no one available to serve, waited a while then gave up. No fridge in our room so not sure if there are fridges in others. This wasn’t an issue really as it wasn’t hot weather though would probably need one in summer months. The hairdryer hangs on the bathroom wall and is a really old style unit but worked perfect. Space on the balcony to sit, two chairs provided though don’t expect a sea view. The rooms aren’t sea facing. All in all I would stay again for a short break. Anything longer I’d be looking something with more amenities and facilities.

Price was Great.Room cleaning was very good. Breakfast was just okay because of limited choices and repeat everyday. Beds are not comfortable at all. Location is not the best or not very well connected to transportation. Lastly, I found a living cockroach in the walkway in front of my room, then down beside the lobby in front of the elevator I found one dead. This only happened at 4:30 am as I was checking out to catch my plane.

They have a in door pool, very nice to spend some time there when the bad wheather shows itself. The hotel is a bit far from everywhere, so be prepared to walk a lot and take a few busses.

Inexpensive.

This is a very busy hotel, but not too noisy. It is a little way from the seafront in a mainly residential area. Breakfast is included and this can be very busy, but apart from the terrible coffee the food is ok. Dinner is also available and is inexpensive. The hotel could do with a little refurbishment, but overall for the cost it is ok. The staff are also friendly
