1950s Retro Beach Bungalow directly on the Beach! Spectacular Views! Gulf-Blvd
Don't want the crowded condo experience with noisy neighbors having condo parties & dealing with lugging beach supplies & groceries up multiple flights of stairs? Don't want to be subjected to a crowded condo or hotel complex? Then this private, stand-alone two bedroom, one bath,1951 retro themed bungalow with tons of amenities that are not offered at other properties is for you!
The bungalow is located literally on the white sands of Treasure Island. So you will be waking up to the sound of waves lapping onto the shore. Be in the center of it all, but with privacy in your own home that has views of the beach & the crystal blue water of the Gulf from the living room, dining room, kitchen & the primary bedroom. Not only that, you can open the slider to an amazing patio area with an oversized, colorful picnic table and some beach chairs.
***UNIQUENESS OF THE PROPERTY*** There are very few single family houses on the beach for rent anymore as most were torn down for huge condos and hotels. So are you tired of the sterile condo or hotel experience? Then you will appreciate this property. Much care was put into making your stay to be an experience with the 1950s retro vibe. Pictures of old Treasure Island from the 1950s, pale blue kitchen cabinets, bright yellow refrigerator, original yellow and pink tile in the bathroom, shabby chic furniture, fun wall decor, and neon surfer and shark signs. The moment you step into the property, you will notice this is not a cookie cutter condo, but your own private home for you and your family to make memories that will last a lifetime!
We also have the some sister properties you may enjoy. https://www.vrbo.com/4879549 This is our 3 bedroom/2 bath 1951 retro pink beach house that is next door. https://www.vrbo.com/1239914 This is our 3 bedroom/2 bath retro 1938 beach bungalow with plunge pool in Madeira Beach. https://www.vrbo.com/4879546 This is our 4 bedroom/2 bath 1940 retro lavender beach house with a huge 32x16 inground pool in Madeira Beach.
***Potential Construction Nearby*** 10-27-2025 a property 2 lots down posted a sign that they will be building a 1,500 sq foot house. So that will inevitably create some noise. We hope that you will be spending most of your day at the beach, taking sunset cruises, fishing, riding jet skis, walking the boardwalk at John's Pass, etc and therefore it will not be a bother. But we can't predict when they will be working, when there will be breaks between subcontractors, or when there will be weather or product delays for their project. We can just share that this is happening on our street and it is quite common from St. Pete to Clearwater due to the number of houses that were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Helene. So if you think this may ruin your vacation, this may not be the year you visit us. As a side note, our rates are 50% to 75% below our normal rates at this time.
***BEACH ACCESS*** Simply walk out the back sliders and put your toes in the sand. You will note that we are a VERY PRIVATE part of Treasure Island. There is also a natural play area framed out by the sea oats off the back of the house that is secluded from the public part of the beach that you will not find anywhere else on Treasure Island.
***2 BEDROOMS/1 FULL BATH*** Included in this 850 square foot beach house are 2 bedrooms. Bedroom #1 has a king bed. Bedroom #2 has two full sized beds which can accommodate up to 2 people in each bed. The kitchen is open concept with a breakfast bar and you have a separate dining table. As you can see from the pictures, everything was recently renovated.
***AMENITIES - BEACH CHAIRS, UMBRELLA, BEACH TOYS, KAYAK, WASHER/DRYER, FREE INTERNET, PLUS MUCH MORE!*** The property also boasts a fully equipped kitchen, 65" smart flat screen TVs, Spectrum TV & free high speed internet. All linens and kitchen utensils are provided. A washer & dryer are available for your use outside the bungalow unlike the condos which you have to pay $4 per wash & dry your clothes in a dingy common area laundry room. We also include a laundry detergent saving you more money & making your stay more hassle-free! One parking space is included which is standard at most accommodations on the beach. Ask about options if you need a 2nd. We do also include beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, kayak, boogie boards, & swim noodles for your enjoyment. Since we provide you items like beach chairs & umbrellas (most other rentals do not include the large umbrellas & beach chairs), you will save the $5 per day, per chair beach chair rental fee or the $15 per day umbrella rental fee charged on the beach! Condos can't offer all these extras as they don't have the storage space for all these extra items.
***LOCATION & LOCAL ACTIVITIES*** You just can't beat the location for convenience either as John's Pass is walkable as it is one block to the Madeira Beach/Treasure Island bridge and you can simply walk over the bridge and be in John's Pass with a 5 minute walk. It is within walking distance to several fine dining opportunities. Thus, you can easily make do without a car.
Historic John's Pass Village offers a host of entertainment options including; many great beach bar and grills, nightly live music, wine tasting, dolphin tours, jet ski rentals, parasailing, sunset boat tours, alligator petting exhibit, pirate ship cruise, & so much more. Dining options 3 blocks away are also plentiful such as Bubba Gump, The Friendly Fisherman, The Pirate's Den, The Rusty Anchor, Mad Beach Craft Brewing, Gators & more! Don't pass up the opportunity to take a stroll over the Madeira Beach Bridge for some great views!
***PLEASE READ*** We do want to point out that there are two houses on this property. Each house has their own separate spaces for privacy. They simply share the lot. The bungalow has it's own private porch area off the back of the house and the house that sits behind this one has it's own private deck that is above this house. The bungalow uses the beach access on the right side of the lot and the house behind the bungalow uses the beach access on the left side of the property. Out of respect for our neighbors and to keep the bungalow in good condition, we do not allow large parties, rentals to more than 6 people, pets or smoking in the house. We do ask that you respect the maximum 6 people limit during your stay. If you have more people, you will be asked to vacate & there will be no refund. We mention this as we have had people rent the property that had 6 guests and then they had an extra car load or two of their friends over the entire stay sleeping on the floor, blow-up mattresses & on the outdoor lounge chairs. The house just can't take the wear & tear of more than 6 people so we appreciate if you would respect that when you consider renting.
How close is 1950s Retro Beach Bungalow directly on the Beach! Spectacular Views! Gulf-Blvd to the airport?
This vacation home is 10.3 mi (25-min drive) away from the St. Petersburg, FL (SPG-Albert Whitted) airport, the closest popular airport to the property.
This was the ideal beach getaway for my family. The house right on the beach made for lots of relaxing and play. I love that we didnât have to pack any beach toys, kitchen items, or linens. We went to the grocery store a half mile away to stock our fridge and cooked simple meals each day and caught the sunset every evening. The house is very clean, stocked thoughtfully, and decorated in a cute vintage beach style. I canât wait to visit again!
The accommodations were AMAZING. Washer/dryer, beach toys & chairs, toiletries, clean(!!) â just a few of the great things this property has to offer! When we book again for next year, itâs comforting to know all of the things we donât need to try to bring with us next time!! Definitely a gem of a property with a quiet beach front off the main road! The host is also a great communicator and willing and available to help answer any questions on the spot - the coffee pot wasnât working (essential, of course) and there was a new one delivered the next day!! 10/10.
The location was absolutely perfect - having the beach just steps from the back door made every day feel like a little getaway. I also appreciated being able to walk to nearby restaurants, which made exploring the area easy and convenient. The rental itself had such a delightful retro charm that really added to the experience, and I was impressed with how clean and well-kept everything was. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.Thank you for providing such a great experience. Best regards, Michelle
We love the Madeira Beach area and weâre so happy to find this cute Beach Bungalow where we brought our grandkids for a couple days. I love being able to walk right out to the beach and play all day. And Johns passes so close and provides all the shopping and restaurants we need. We loved the decor and attention to detail to make our stay a fun and exciting one! Thanks so much for the opportunity to stay there and we will be back!
It was perfect!!! We parked our vehicle when we got there and never needed to get back in it all week!!! Everything is in walking distance. On top of that, we had access to what felt like a semi private beach, which was wonderful!! Host was great. Easy to communicate with and very informative. House was cute and clean. The whole trip was the perfect mix of a private relaxing getaway paired with lots of opportunities for social adventures.
This was the cutest, most perfect place for us! Easy walk to Johnâs pass, longer walk to Ricky tâs but not bad! Appreciated the use of beach chairs and included laundry soap, dryer sheets, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner and more! Hope to stay here again next year!
Things we loved: Big table for games or puzzles, view of beach from main bedroom and living room, outdoor patio with picnic table to enjoy being outside while eating, coloring, coffee and crosswords.Beach directly behind house is beautiful and not crowded. Location is great with beach out back, Johnâs Pass is a quick walk over the bridge and only 40 min drive from TPA airport.
Great place to stay! Step out back door and you are on the beach! Responsive host! House had everything we needed. Great place if you like to watch the sunset!
We had a wonderful week. We have never stayed in a beach bungalow. The decor and everything else takes you back in time. The view, the beach, the sound of the waves, and the incredible sunsets were spectacular. We would highly recommend staying there.
The host Bob was amazing. He was very helpful! We had a great time. The beach house was beautiful. It was very clean so much fun. We actually wish we wouldâve stayed longer. Definitely will be staying again!
The location of this bungalow is the best with direct beach access and wide, open views! The bungalow, itself, is a perfect throw back to Treasure Island history - from the wall art to the colors to the kitchen appliances. Our host was so easy to work with and all questions were answered quickly (both pre-trip and during the trip.) On a side note, construction is underway on a fairly close lot but we had already been notified pre-trip and was given ample time to change our minds, if desired. It did not interfere in our stay at all but we appreciated the heads up!
The owners of this spotless beach bungalow thought of everything! The location is already perfect, just over the bridge within walking distance of Johnâs Pass & everything else you need for a great stay is provided. Beach umbrella, beach chairs & blanket. The bathroom is small but clean, the beds were comfy & linens soft. Plenty of towels. Laundry easy to access & use. All of the kitchen necessities were provided and we ended up getting fresh fish from Fishbusterz Seafood a couple of nights and cooked at the house. We had good dinners also at Middle Grounds & Mad Beach Cantina and brunch at Lisaâs is a must! Obviously the best part of this bungalow was stepping out the door right onto the sand. Not only the direct access to the powdery white sandy beach but the most magnificent sunsets!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this beachfront location with an easy walk to John's Pass and other restaurants/shops. Good amenities and excellent communication with the property manager. Would stay again!
This place had just what we needed when we visited family in the area for Christmas. Having the sand right outside our back door and the view to the beach was wonderful. Cute little place. Owner/manager was very responsive with any questions we had.
