This hotel has several damaged properties, and the staff at the front desk was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and unfriendly. They gave us the smallest room available, which lacked both the beach and pool views.

So we stayed at this property in February 2025. Back in September there was a huge hurricane that came through and did a lot of damage. I just wanna make that statement. My husband and I really liked staying here. It was a great location to the beach and to food and activities. However, this property is very out of date, but the out of date did not hinder our stay. The beds were super comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, and there was a slightly out of date kitchenette. they’re only a couple things that were a little hard to deal with specially, the radiator. It did get a little chilly and when we turned the heater on, it smelled like something was burning inside, so I don’t think they had been serviced. Using the kitchen it was a little difficult because the hot plate was on the older side and took a long time to heat up. But other than a couple little things, we really enjoyed staying here.

The floors were filthy. The bathroom door hit against the shower rod. No fan in bathroom. Pool tiles were lose. Trash around grounds.

This place is nothing like what it looks like. We received a call 2 days before that the elevators are broken and we would have to walk to the 4th floor. They don’t change the sheets or clean the room u less you request 24 hours in advance which is basic cleanliness. We requested everyday cleaning and they put the same dirty sheets back on the bed. It smelled like a basement. The first room we got the door lock was broken it looked like someone previously kicked the door in. There were no warm blankets in the room and when we requested one they asked me to walk down 4 floors to get it. The continental breakfast was packaged muffins and stale bagels. The pictures do not match what you’re getting so not book this place unless you’re just looking for a cheap unkept place to rest your head. This would be ok when I was 21 and just looking to party nothing else. Not a mini fridge or microwave in sight. Parking was easy and convenient and the location is super convenient.

We loved the place and used the kayaks. The only complaint was the spotty internet and there are no rails on any of the stairs at the 3 entrances. My husband has balance issues and we had to help him every time. The stairs down to back patio are very steep and it could be a fall hazard. Thank you for sharing your home. We loved our manatee tour our of Paddletail..

Get what you pay for

Hotel just reopened from hurricane damage. Location is great. Right on Beach walk. Price was better than most. Now the bad. Pool not heated. Elevators broken. No bar. No food service. Rooms were bare with very old furniture. Entire hotel needs updated badly. Free parking though

Manage your expectations for a great stay

Let's be honest...You get what you pay for. This hotel is less expensive than all the other gulf front resorts around it and it's not because you found a great deal. If you are expecting Ritz quality, don't stay here. But if you want a clean, comfortable room with an incredible view and an even better location...you can't go wrong. Could it use updating? Of course. But our room was exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable and we walked everywhere...the beach, great restaurants and things to do. The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful answering my questions. The elevator was not in service when I was there but they emailed me numerous times and called me prior to my stay to make sure I was aware of this. There was a lot of noise from the bar across the street that had live music every night but that is certainly not the hotel's fault. My only complaint was that you get charged a resort fee per day and I didn't feel there were any amenities that justified a resort fee. But there was no parking fee so I figured it was a wash.

This property is in an optimal location, with beautiful views but is sorely in need of renovation. The only elevator was not working for our entire stay. Five flights of stairs with a heavy suitcase was a challenge. Any of the non ground floors were inaccessible to anyone with physical challenges.
