Typical Provencal house located on the outskirts of Salon de Provence in a very quiet residential area.
Private access from the entrance gate.
All rooms (3) are totally independent, each having its own bathroom and toilets. Pool (4X5 m) is totally private and child protected.
10 minutes walking distance from the city centre, the shops and the animation.
Salon is also perfectly well located in the heart of Provence at very fair distance from all the major touristic sites such as Aix, Marseille, Avignon and Arles + les Baux de Provence, the Alpilles, Luberon and Camargue.
The owner use to own a private 4 * hotel in the very nearby.
In high season, the rental can only be settled from Saturdays to Saturdays except specific request.
It is a perfect location well fitted for family and friends gathering.

A perfect place to relax and a great location from which to explore Salon and the beautiful local Provencal villages. We were warmly welcomed by Patricia who was generous with her advice and information and extremely helpful. The property was exactly as described and very well equipped. We visited during a heatwave and the pool was very welcome and refreshing.

This charming house is located just steps away from the historical center of Salon de Provence. The manager and owner are very responsive and quickly dealt with a minor problem.

Paradise in salon-de-Provence

We were looking for a home with a swimming pool within walking distance to town and a short drive to interesting spots nearby. We couldn’t have found anything more perfect. Catherine has a beautifully appointed home that looks exactly as the photos! She made us fell so utterly welcome and had a terrific personalized guide of things to do. Great Base for Day Trips

This property was a great home base for discovering the charms of Provence. The cottage is very comfortable and exudes the flavor of Provence both inside and out. Morning expresso in the courtyard was a great way to start the day. The village center was a 10 minute walk, and all of the other villages we visited were within a 45 minute drive. Catherine, our host, made sure we had everything we needed, and we were delighted to meet her and her friends, Stuart and Ruth, who met us upon our arrival. If you are considering a visit to the Luberon/Aix region of Provence, you would do well to stay at Catherine's cottage.

Perfect

Stayed for a week with four generations of my family with ages ranging from 90 to 2 years old. The accommodation was perfect for all age having adaptations for the less mobile and safety features such as safety gates on the stairs and the swimming pool. Salon old town is lovely with lots of restaurants in the picturesque narrow streets. There is a choice of supermarkets, the nearest only 5 minutes drive away. We all wished we had booked a longer stay

History, art and nature beauty

We spent a wonderful week in Salon. The house was very nice, cosy, clean and provided us with a very charming atmosphere. We had everything we needed. Bedrooms are completely separate and comfortable. The kitchen and the living room allowed us to spend calm and relaxing evenings with a bottle of fine Provence rose. The garden is quiet and perfect for the coffee in the morning. Catherine was very helpful and kind. Salon is a very good starting point to explore Provence. One can find the extreme diversity from nature beauties (Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, Les Calanques, the red ochre sands of Roussillon), Roman history (Arl, Nimes, Orange), unforgettable French villages and small towns on the hills with castle ruins (Les Baux-de-Provence, Gordes, Lacoste etc.), art (the home of famous artists and contemporary approach - CarriĂšres de LumiĂšres is a must), tasty food and fine wines.

A Beautiful Property Conveniently situated

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful week in this delightful house. This is primarily a home and as a consequence enjoys all those extras and comforts that distinguish it from a Gite rental. It is very stylised, beautiful furnished, spotlessly clean and decorated with a charming private courtyard type garden that includes a proportionately sized swimming pool. On the day of our arrival we were warmly greeted by friends of the owner who acted as managers of the house whilst the owner herself was on holiday so sadly we never had the opportunity to meet. The house is very convenient for walking into Salon-de-Provence and we rarely had need to use the car other than for the initial supermarket shop and the odd trip out to The Carmargue, Arles and the Luberon Mountains which are all within easy travelling distance. The only blight that prevents me from giving the house a full 5 star rating was the rather intrusive noise from construction works being undertaken to the school building at the end of the long private drive. This was unfortunate and obviously outside of the control of the property owner. So to conclude - thank you so much Catherine for allowing us to stay in your beautiful house and please extend our gratitude to your friends Stuart and Ruth whose company we so enjoyed.

An ideal house in the heart of Provence

An excellent description of the property! The layout was ideal for our family, which allowed for some privacy -- we much appreciated having washrooms attached to each bedroom. The property was very clean, the kitchen was well equipped and we greatly enjoyed having a space for outdoor cooking (BBQ with a counter and sink). The yard is well designed with a dining area under a beautiful vine, a lounge area under a tree and a sunny pool area (which was used daily!). The bed linens could be improved by having higher quality sheets and having at least one duvet for optional use. The proximity to the village centre was ideal and accessible within a short walk. We were well greeted by the owner despite our tardy arrival and were pleasantly surprised to have a few basics in the fridge (eggs, milk, butter, bread, coffee, wine). Catherine made herself available during our stay and quickly addressed our questions. She took the time to check in with us mid-stay and shared good suggestions for activities in the area. Perfekt um die Provence zu erkunden

Charmantes Haus in naturnaher Umgebung, SdP hat selbst genug zu bieten, ist ebenso guter Ausgangspunkt fĂŒr AusflĂŒge von Montpellier bis zu den Schluchten bei Marseille. Haus und Aussenbereich ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum WohlfĂŒhlen braucht. An die Sicherheitsmassnahmen mussten wir uns etwas gewöhnen. Am Ende aber ein gutes GefĂŒhl. Sehr warmer, persönlicher Empfang und Abschied.

Comfort, privacy, peace

This is a comfortable house, with multiple bedrooms, ideal for a large group. We were just the 2 of us.The house and kitchen are fully equipped, the garden area and small pool are very pleasant and the towncenter is just a short walk. It is very private.The interior is a bit dated, and on the dark side - but that may be our personal view..It is clear it was once a house where the owner/family lived. I have never seen so many comic strips/bandes dessinees, they must be fans! This house seems to be one of a number of original villas, that are now bordered by a newer area with modern, but attractive flats. It sits a bit isolated and you have to pass the property of the neighbours house after opening an automatic driveway gate with a code - which is not a problem. Parking and leaving the lot is a bit tricky, we often parked on the nearby street/square. Overall a very good vacation rental, with responsive and pleasant hosts. Paul

Petit paradis

La maison est idĂ©alement situĂ©e, au cƓur d'un Ăźlot de verdure et toute proche (Ă  pied ) du centre ville. Beaucoup de charme dans ce mas spacieux et trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©. Nous avons apprĂ©ciĂ© la piscine : se baigner chaque matin pour bien dĂ©buter la journĂ©e est un luxe pour des citadines ! Situation parfaite pour parcourir les alentours, les Alpilles, et mĂȘme Marseille oĂč il ne faut surtout pas rater les expos du Mucem. En conclusion, de trĂšs belles vacances !

Great location

Beautiful large house with wonderful terrace. The house is very clean has a very well equipped kitchen and a wonderful terrace with a large desk to enjoy your meals and nice opportunities to relax. Patricia was very suportive. A small probelm we had was solved within one hour. THank you for that.

Schönes Objekt in zentraler Lage

Das Haus liegt in einer ruhigen Gegend und das Zentrum ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch liegt es sehr zentral, sodass man in kurzer Zeit die vielen Highlights der Provence besichtigen kann. Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet - es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Avis global excellent. La maison correspond exactement Ă  la description. La propriĂ©tĂ© est top. Point de vue extĂ©rieur : - Piscine de bonne taille. Attention pour les petits, elle fait 1,60 m de profondeur partout. Par contre, elle est sĂ©curisĂ©e donc pas d'inquiĂ©tude. - Partie salon de jardin spacieuse et ombragĂ©e. - Partie table de repas sous une pergola de verdure trĂšs agrĂ©able. - Plancha Ă  disposition. Point de vue intĂ©rieur : - Maison spacieuse et bien agencĂ©e. - En famille ou entre amis, toute le monde peut avoir son intimitĂ© car chaque chambre est Ă©quipĂ©e de sa salle d'eau et de son wc. - Climatisation dans chaque chambre. - Equipement de cuisine ultra complet. Je n'avais, jusqu'Ă  maintenant, jamais trouvĂ© une cuisine aussi bien fournie. Emplacement : - Maison isolĂ©e des buildings aux alentours. La prĂ©sence des buildings et des routes proches peut faire peur, mais la maison est suffisamment isolĂ©e pour ne pas ĂȘtre gĂȘnĂ© par le bruit. - Le quartier proche est calme - L'accĂšs est sĂ©curisĂ© par deux portails. - Le centre historique de Salon est accessible Ă  pied. - Plusieurs centres commerciaux sont proches. - De belles villes sont accessibles en une heure de route maximum ( Arles, NĂźmes, Les baux de Provence, ...) et la plage est Ă  une demi-heure environ. Accueil / Contact : - Nous avons Ă©tĂ© accueillis par Patricia, qui est d'une extrĂȘme gentillesse. Les explications sur l'utilisation de la maison sont claires et complĂštes. Elle reste Ă©galement disponible pendant la durĂ©e du sĂ©jour. - Contacts par courriels trĂšs cordiaux avec la propriĂ©taire qui rĂ©pond trĂšs rapidement. En rĂ©sumĂ©, le seul critĂšre pour lequel je ne mets pas cinq Ă©toiles est l'emplacement, car ça fait moins "vacances" lorsqu'on est dans le quartier de la maison. Par contre, une fois passĂ© le portail, on se retrouve dans un petit coin de paradis duquel on n'a mĂȘme pas envie de bouger :). Pour tout le reste, je ne vois pas comment ne pas ĂȘtre conquis. Je recommande pour : - Les familles ou amis qui cherchent un point central pour des visites dans cette partie de la France. - Les personnes qui ne veulent pas bouger et recherchent du calme.

Het huis was tiptop in orde en van alle gemakken voorzien. Patricia stond steeds klaar als we vragen hadden. Wij hebben een zeer aangename vakantie gehad. De locatie was erg rustig op wandelafstand (1 km) van het gezellige stadscentrum.

Kurzurlaub im April

Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen: Das Haus liegt zentral und doch sehr ruhig, in die Innenstadt sind es max. 10 Minuten zu Fuß. Die Vermieterin ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Also: Rundum zu empfehlen! LG Heidi und Axel
