A rental car is recommended since the roads on the resort are too narrow for the big island taxis. Taxis will only take you to the lobby. From there the resort offers free transportation to and from your villa.. Point Pleasant Resort is famous for its' magnificent ocean and island views because it is built into a hillside looking out the BVI and St John.. The View is a hilltop unit and some walking is required. It is not a suitable location for people with hip and knee issues. That said, if you are young or hikers you will be able to get around well.
