Want the luxuries of basic living in the US? Dont come here. Prepare to be ignored, lied to, and general unfullfillment of promises. On a positive note the drink titled The "Painkiller" at the bar is incredibly good. Wont be back...

The property was close to the airport and had a parking lot for our rental car. It was a quiet property, besides the air planes, which was good and bad. The pool is very nice and the beach is clean and beautiful. The rooms had good views but were very basic and there was a very old tiny fridge. The bathroom mirrors were awesome, but the shower had very, very low pressure, there was no water when we first checked in for our vacation. And besides the mirror and sink everything else was dated. The whole resort could use a bit of updating. But all in all we didnt spend a lot of time there, so it was fine for my family. The people were nice enough, but not overly friendly. The one resturant and "bar" is all outside and the bar was closed by 10. Not many activities on property to do. The cafe though had excellent coffe! And the gift shop was very reasonably priced. We would stay here again, but aim for a better room than the one we got this time.

I think the resort needs a lot of work this isn’t a resort it’s a hotel on the beach. Speaking of beach the beach caters to the cruise people over the hotel guest. The restaurant and bar opens when it’s wants to open not when it says it’s opened I was there for a week and the place was never opened for breakfast as advertised. 1 day it didn’t even open at all. And when it it opened it doesn’t even serve the food on the menu. This is not a resort at all this is a hotel on the beach. It has no activities for its guest and like I said prior it caters to cruise people in ver the hotel guest themselves. I will go back to Saint Thomas but I’ll never go back to emerald beach resort. Oh and before I forget they even turned the water off in the hotel without even notice

The property was a quiet and peaceful place that was directly on the beach and there was no smelly seaweed like there is at other resorts. It is dated and needs renovations desperately. The staff was excellent. The front desk was awesome, restaurant was awesome. My only complaint is the dated furniture and bathroom. The bathroom felt like a gym locker room where you needed shower shoes to shower.

The location and the beach are great - super close to the airport, and the beach right out side and the view from the room was wonderful! Of note, the cafe was closed (indefinitely it seemed like) so only the restaurant is available to eat at, and the food was pretty mediocre. They also only provide shampoo, no conditioner (which is fine, it would just have been nice to know so that I could have brought some myself). But we enjoyed it, and it was a good home base for us.

For an airport property, there should be an airport shuttle. $40 usd for a 2 minute transfer is excessive (that included bags). The mandatory 18% gratuity for service at the bar/restaurant, when there was no service is disheartening
