Sophisticated Beach Condo-Ocean View-Sapphire

Located at Sapphire Village-Amazing views of Sapphire Beach and its glimmering turquoise waters. Short walk to the beach and beach bar! Fully furnished- 1 Queen bed, and one queen sleeper sofa. Property has hotel amenities including 2 pools, great snorkeling off of the beach, 2 restaurants, beach bar, coffee shop & deli! Secure safe location. Taxis are readily available nearby for rides to grocery stores, Red Hook (3 min drive) for dinner, St. John Ferry, local beaches.25 min from the airport!
The space
The unit is a studio, sleeps 4 (queen bed and pull out Lazy Boy sleeper sofa) and a full kitchen and bathroom. 65" Smart TV with Netflix access.
New flooring has just been installed near bed!

Room - The concept of the room, beautiful functioning, part of the room, though not so great. The stairs leading to the bed had a tile crack and made me very nervous to walk on. The light on the left side of the bed did not work properly nor the ceiling light, as if there was a short shortage in the electrical line. Couldn’t figure out how to get the ceiling fan over the couch to work. The bathroom was in good condition and love the decorative towels. Amenities - The TV had a Notice on it that would not go away no matter what we tried so it just made it impossible to watch TV Which is the one thing that should be functioning in his face like that. Definitely a lot of kitchen supplies, which was awesome, but I only found one drinking glass that was not a wine glass. My recommendation is to make sure everything is functional before the guest walks and not just cleaned. However, I will see that the room was cleaned very well. Loved the fact that there were books to read as well.

You get what you pay for

Pros:-Great view!-Nearby a restaurant -Pool access-Some beach gearCons:-Bed is uncomfortable -Mildew smell in the bathroom-AC never fully cools down the room-Dusty under the bed and couch-No curtain to block out early morning sun-Long walk up the hill. You can walk to the beach, but it's a bit of a trek. -Feels isolated without a car, as you can't walk into town and there's nothing close by like convenience stores This time of year, the sargassum covers Sapphire beach, so not the best beach for swimming.

Amazing Location and Phenomenal View

We loved our stay at this condo for a small family of three (2 adults and 1 infant). The condo had everything we needed and communication with host via text messages was seamless, the host provided a crib upon request. We enjoyed the view, amenities, and most of all the location. Visiting all of the island we found that this is the best spot to stay.

Compact efficiency apartment. Great views from the bed! Very hilly and hard to walk the property. It fit the bill for extending a stay in a rental house for a couple of nights!

Walking distance to Saphhire beach. Great view from the Condo. Close to Red Hook with lots of restaurants, bars shopping. Only downside although Red Hook is close, it isn't walkable. But no property would be due to the terrian and roads. Just wish the taxi's didnt charge so much!

Great place for a couple nights stay before heading to St John. Easy access to sapphire beach. Nice beach bar/food nearby. A bit hilly if you’re not in good shape. No problem for us. Host was great and very accommodating. Very happy there were beach chairs for us to use. The pool was nice too!

The overall property is a little run down (tennis courts are an eye sore) but the unit is clean and well equipped. Really appreciated the streaming options. Only issue was no curtains - it is really bright really early. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay. This property is not handicap accessible and the hill ones would make it difficult for older people. Just FYI.
