The atmosphere was charming and full of Penn State tradition. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. It's in a great location—perfect for visiting campus or attending events. I’d definitely stay again!

The Nittany Lion is is our favorite place to stay at State College. The renovations are beautiful. Ideal location for walking anywhere. Dining/bar options are ideal. Highly recommend this hotel.

Room was clean and staff were helpful—also great that I can take a beer or wine from the pub to my room for quiet. Parking cheap & convenient. Unfortunately uncomfortable room: Very noisy heating/cooling —fan was like a jet engine. Not possible to control room temperature so I was sweating one night and cold the next. Tiny window on the third floor. Instead of an iron you get a steamer which was useless. Something that should have taken me 5 mins to de-wrinkle ended up taking almost 30 mins— and the shirt was still creased all over.

Our air conditioning was just awful, we set it to 68 degrees before bed and the thermostat read 77 in the morning. We alerted the desk at checkout about how hot the room was and they weren't even apologetic. Very disappointing customer service.
