Felt like an outdated school camp cabin. The heater panel hasn't safe to use as it was literally inside the sliding door which meant you had to sleep with the curtains open otherwise it would touch the heater - a huge fire risk!

A really great spot for a 2 night stay. 3 laundries on the site, 1 with card payment. Really comfortable bed. Great kitchenette. Really quiet spot.

We arrived at 2.45pm and check-in was 3.00pm although there were 3 staff member working behind the counter, they turned us away until 3pm, which I understand. However, when we returned, there was only one staff member working on the counter and she continually complained about the lack of staff and how much work she had to do! that did not make for a friendly welcome. Perhaps roster staff on at the time when you know there will be an increase in demand - ie. 3pm check-in time and after.

Comfortable living room space with enough kitchen amenities to meet the family needs. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Good crisp feeling linen. Very clean accommodation. Liked that there was an electric blanket on main bed as the rooms got cold when doors were closed, even though heater was on in the lounge area. Extra thick blankets were welcomed. Cabin showing its age, with little things, mainly door marks/chips and bathroom door sticking upon closing. The grounds were quite substantial.

Found hairs on the sheets. There’s supposedly Wi-Fi, but the info in the room doesn’t provide a password—just tells you to ask reception, which isn’t open for many hours. And even after getting the password, it simply didn’t work at all. The soap dispenser by the bathroom sink was also empty.

After a small confusion with check-in times, we found our cabin to be a nice, well laid out accommodation with all the equipment we could need included. The cabin had been cleaned and prepared beautifully and would definitely rate as the best so far on our 4 week Tassie trip. Many thanks to the cleaners and other staff. Regards, Barry & Ann.

Everything is budget and compact, both the cabin itself and the amenities. The shower was particularly small and would not suit anyone above average height or size. The fixtures were a mix of new (kitchenette) and well used (most everything else). The curtains & the couch in our cabin weren’t great. There was a small TV (no streaming available, but had full reception of available free to air channels) and a box air conditioner that took the edge off in November, but not sure how it would go in winter. Easy walk into Main Street of Strahan along the foreshore. Grocery store a short drive away. Well priced, but don’t expect too much.

No wifi or telephone service. Staff member made us feel bad for saying we had no connections. Could not communicate with family whilst staying here. Shower head needs replacing. Carpet in bedroom under window is damp due to all the rain. Had to fix the blind to the entry door so we could use it. Mould on blind in kitchen and mould on toilet cistern. Not very healthy for an asthmatic staying in the cabin. Not the best accommodation for a couple on a retreat.
