The accommodation's location makes it easy to visit some of the city's most famous sights: - Strasbourg's Grande-Ăle (10-minute walk) ; - the Petite France district (15 minutes on foot); - the Vauban Dam (20 minutes away); and much more... You'll also find a variety of restaurants and shops nearby. There's an âAuchanâ supermarket 300 m from the building for your everyday needs. A new park just 200 metres from the flat has just been opened!
Please note: parking can be difficult, so it is best to plan ahead and use a parking lot (P3 Wilson next to the apartment) or public transportation. In addition, the apartment is located in a typical 1970s building in the city center. As in many buildings from this era, the insulation is not optimal, and street or neighborhood noise can sometimes be heard. This is not unusual for such a central location, but it is important to mention it so that everyone can arrive with peace of mind.
We look forward to welcoming you!
## Emplacement Les Halles, a convenient and well-connected area of Strasbourg. It is not the most picturesque part of the city, but it has the advantage of being right next to the train station, the Les Halles shopping center (with numerous stores and services), and just a five-minute walk from Strasbourg's historic city center.
Strasbourg, designated a Ville d'Art et d'Histoire (City of Art and History), is a must-see when visiting Alsace. Its old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is internationally renowned for its exceptional architectural, historical and cultural heritage. Traces of its medieval past and Renaissance era are deeply rooted in its genes.
A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Grande Ăle, surrounded by the River Ill, is the heart of the city center. As you stroll through the pedestrian streets, each more picturesque than the last, you can't help but be enthralled by the perfection of the city's built heritage. With its canals, banks, cobbled streets and flower-filled half-timbered houses, Petite France is one of the Grande Ăle's most romantic districts. It was once the district of tanners, millers and fishermen. Built in 1572 on the water's edge, the Maison des Tanneurs, now a restaurant, is a fine example of the harmony of the area.
Strasbourg is also home to a number of European institutions. The European quarter is home to the Council of Europe, the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights.
## Transports - Strasbourg train station: 11 minutes on foot. - Strasbourg Airport: 28 minutes by car.
We liked it very much, great location for the train, grocery store is a short walk; a neighborhood coffee shop would have made it perfect! Here are a few things that we noticed that might make it even better:Nice set up to allow cooking and plenty of dishes. Would have appreciated more than 1 kitchen towel, especially spending 4 nights. Good written Instructions provided but needed for the clothes washer - please. The coffeemaker was leaking water so may need to be checked. We appreciated Tasteful decor but a little less on credenza as we needed space for suitcases, stuff.Bed was comfortable-It may be time for new pillows and sheets- a little worn. Loved the clean bathroom. Also, maybe TP could be given more for more than 3 nights. The instructions for keys were thorough and made sense- thank you! The mailbox key was a little tricky for this 5â1â gal to reach and unlock as hard to seeâŠa longer tether would make it work. Thank you for your help with our mishap- communication with Helene was easy and so appreciated. We would stay here again. Day trips to Basel and Colmar.
We stayed a few nights in April 2025 and had a lovely stay! The elevator to upstairs is small so I recommend taking the stairs. The place is adorable and the windows allow a lot of natural light to shine into the space! The kitchen is lovely and has everything you might need during your stay. The bed was cozy and comfortable.
