On the third floor with elevator of a building in the center of Stresa there is the completely renovated BELLA apartment. From the large entrance you can access the living room with dining table, sofa that becomes bed and sat tv, accessed to the terrace facing the lake wich overlooks the center and the Borromean islands equipped with deck chairs, sun umbrella and table. The kitchen is equipped with all appliances. The bedrooms are three, one with a double bed and a balcony with lake view, one with two single beds that can be approached from where there is an access to the main terrace and one with twin beds. Bathrooms are two, one with shower and one with bathtube. Under the building there is a reserved parking space in the garage. In a two minute walking you can reach the railway station and in 5/8 minutes you reach the center of the city with all its locals and attractions. For pets an additional cost is required, Euro 20 per week.
Upon entry and exit of the Property, it smelled like it had a horrible sewer problem. The host, when she arrived to let us in, demanded cash as a deposit. We had to pay for sheets and towel usage and a cleaning fee in addition to what we had already paid for the property. We came from the US, itâs not like you can bring your own towels and sheets. Who charges you for sheets? The girl that met us couldnât have cared less. She did everything on her timeline (who cares that we traveled 18 hours to get there?). Stresa is gorgeous and lovely. Stay somewhere else. I got yelled at for putting my trash in the wrong place (because the cleaning fee didnât include taking out our trash or explaining how it worked). Basically this was the one terrible part of an otherwise wonderful trip.
This is a gorgeous, beautifully decorated apartment with a spectacular view. The woman who greeted us was very kind and helpful. However, she told us the washing machine was broken and wouldnât be fixed, and that there was no way to turn on the air conditioning that was clearly in every room. When we contacted the rental manager to see whether we could be refunded part of the cost (it was quite hot without the a/c, and I spent the last day of our vacation and 20E at a laundromat), we were disappointed to find them unsympathetic. Also, we had to buy toilet paper, hand soap, trash bags and other basics because they were not provided. Overall, I would still recommend it, because itâs such a lovely spot, but felt it was missing key amenities.
Beautiful apartment and view. Had to pay extra for linens and towels 15 euros per person. This should be disclosed before booking. Also no cleaning supplies provided except dishwasher soap. No trash bags provided even though extensive recycling required. Should be labled recycle bins with bags provided in apartment. Discovered that clothes washer is also a dryer. Never seen that before. Just across the street from the train station. Very convenient location in a wonderful small town. Had a great experience overall.
We had a wonderful time staying in the apartment. It was plenty spacious for 5 adults. Rossana and Michelle were delightful and very helpful checking us in and providing suggestions. The apartment was very clean and we felt we were in a safe area. The view is great and is in walking distance to restaurants and the grocery store. The shoreline is just a couple blocks walk. As a note, the bed linen and towels have a rental fee so you will need to make your own bed upon arrival. We also had to buy toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, paper towels and trash bags. We might have packed some of these things had we known. We recommend and would stay again.
