Beautiful vacation home in the Western Mountains of Maine

Discover Maine from our spacious, private country home! With beautiful mountain views, wooded trails, waterfalls, 20 miles from Rangeley Lakes region, 22 miles from Sugarloaf Ski Resort, and 2 hours from the famous Maine rocky Atlantic coastline. Sugarloaf Weekend

My sister and I stayed here with my two pups for the weekend and caught a night show at Sugarloaf, which was a short 35 minute drive. This property was peaceful, quiet, clean and cozy. We had a relaxing Saturday of cooking, letting the pups play in the little creek and relaxing in the super cozy living room. We definitely want to go back for a weekend with our kids. It was a perfect weekend and an amazing property!

Sugarloaf Ski and Hike

Beautiful and spacious house and property. Only 15’ to Kingfield for food and groceries and 30’ to Sugarloaf mountain. Great hiking trails not too far. Loved our stay!

Wonderful home, great accommodations.

We really enjoyed our stay. Warm, comfortable and spacious. The kitchen provides everything one would need to prepare meals. After a long day on the slopes, this is the place for us. Excellent communication with host Christie. Definitely a top notch VRBO property. You won't be disappointed.

Great stay for sugarloaf trip

This was our second time staying here for a trip to sugarloaf. It is a beautiful house with lots to offer - full gym, full kitchen, wood stove, etc. Christie is a great host and is easy to communicate with. We will definitely stay again in the future.

Maine cabin

Nice place, some areas could have been cleaner where there were mouse droppings/family room near TV. Lounge was so thick with cigar smoke couldn’t stand to be I. The room even after airing it for two days. Wi-Fi was out so no tv or Wi-Fi except one bar on the deck. Made it digitized find directions to anything. No information from owners such as a booklet with attractions, dining, grocery stores, etc. difficult when not from the area. No checkout instructions either. Beautiful setting nice home just some basic things all other places we have used through VRBO had available. Kitchen was well stocked.

It really is a beautiful vacation home

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful home. My 13 year old daughter, nine year old son, and two year-old German shepherd were completely in love with the place and it’s yard. My wife was as well, and we all marveled at the view of Mt. Abraham during the day, and the stars at night. We hiked for three days at various mountains in the area, and the location was perfect for activities all across the mountains of western Maine. Christie the owner was great. We would love to come back someday, perhaps in the winter

A nice place to stay on a rainy weekend

A beautiful location with plenty of room for togetherness or privacy. Unfortunately, we weren't able to enjoy the game room due to the heavy cigar smell. We were able to have a fire Friday night and the skies cleared enough to see the stars and satellites passing by. We also, walked the Narrow Gauge Pathway. Tried to make it to Poplar Stream Falls, but too wet and muddy. Next time we'll bring our atvs.

Beautiful 2nd stay

Absolutely love this house and this setting. Hoping to return for a 3rd time next year. Great kitchen, great lower bathroom, amazing living room and deck. Excellent game room, comfortable bedrooms...just cant beat this if you want picturesque and quiet.

Utopia

Fantastic home with so many amenities. Many different type of heating options, snow removal was done prior to arrival despite the large amount of snow in the area. The recreation room is fantastic along with the sauna and shower. Jetted tub is fantastic. Would rent this home again in a heartbeat. Thank you Christie and Rick!

Great spot for a getaway weekend

Enjoyed the comforts and convenience of this beautiful home after long day skiing Sugarloaf. 40 minutes from the access road, and 15 minutes from Kingfield, we enjoyed being off the beaten path but with conveniences like restaurants and grocery stores nearby if needed. The home was well stocked and well prepared for our visit, hosts were communicative and even came by to plow the driveway after 10” snow fell while we were skiing. Thank you!

A perfect weekend retreat!

This was our second visit to Christie's gorgeous property in Maine and it was as lovely as our stay last year. A large, comfortable house located just 30 minutes from Sugarloaf Mountain at the end of a quiet, remote lane. It's perfect for getting away from it all. The large, well-stocked kitchen is great for cooking for the family, and the main floor bathroom with heated floors, a huge rain shower and infrared sauna is a highlight. We'll be back next year!
