This is a great house in the middle of NOWHERE down a very steep and difficult track and yet in striking distance of Stroud and several good local pubs and an excellent farm shop at the end of the lane. Access - Not for a low-slung car and actually, it is not easy to find so a couple of signs would have helped as the signal goes as soon as you start on the most perilous confusing part of the track. But the cottage is home-from-home if a little scruffy, but all the better for this. We had lovely log fires, we were very comfortable, we did some great walks. Wonderful wildlife area and just what we needed. We would go again. One thing, be warned - hot water is very close to boiling. A warning note would be sensible for this. All in all, a great place to stay and we really loved it.
