This cottage is one of the oldest homes in the county that is still standing, since 1851. When we found this house for sale, we loved the wide open hall through the house, the family-style layout, and bones of the home. We only updated the kitchens and the bathrooms, applied fresh paint with original color palette, added HVAC, and supplemented the lighting.

This farmhouse exceeded our expectations. My daughter graduated from State and with 6 daughters getting ready that morning at the same time we needed room. This house was perfect for us. Larger than it appears in photos, we did not feel as though we were on top of each other. It has well appointed bathrooms and desks or vanities in all bedrooms. The kitchen had everything you might need even found some batteries for the string of lights. It is decorated beautifully. It was fun to explore outside and my screen addicted teens even played checkers and cards together. We didn't want to leave. The host was very kind and friendly. The house was great so we didn't need to contact them during our stay just check in and out.
Nice place. Served our group well. In the middle of nowhere but it was described correctly. Dust was a problem but it has been extremely dry. Overall enjoyed our time there. Owner was very helpful.
We rented the house for my daughter graduation from state. The house was spacious and great for family time! Being in the country was an added bonus! The property was beautiful that we ended up doing a mini photo shoot with my daughter in her graduation attire.
We absolutely loved our stay! Be prepared to drive down a gravel road for at least a mile to get there. I wish we could have stayed longer because it was the most adorable home! Everything was right there at our fingertips-coffee, tea, cooking utensils, etc. We had a wonderful stay!
We were able to spend time with friends, enjoy the outdoors and relax. We had everything we needed and were comfortable while there. The time from the stadium to the house was not too far away either. We all loved the charm of the home and the surroundings, even the greetings from the deer that last morning there. If ever we are in Starksville again we will plan to stay here! Thank you for your hospitality.
Our family visited Starkville for a football weekend visit with our son. The property was located approximately 20 minutes from Downtown Starkville which we loved!! Saninaâs home was beautifully decorated and the space was perfect for our family. We enjoyed playing cards on that beautiful kitchen table and had everything we needed. We will definitely stay again in the future.
