Spacious rooms with wonderful staff who were incredibly accommodating. Great little bar and restaurant with good food and breakfast. This place felt wonderfully remote and away from it all. During our stay there was construction going on out our window which is the only negative for our time there.
Lovely place. Quiet little town that gives you a true feeling of being in the Iceland Fjords. The only issue we had was contacting the front desk ..they provided a phone number to contact them to let us know we had arrived but our data card wouldn't let me call it so I had to kick on our roaming services from home.
The Fisherman's was a great place to stay for a couple nights. One has to remember this is a pretty remote part of the north western fjords so don't expect the Ritz. Beds were comfortable, rooms good size, super clean and the food in the attached restaurant was excellent. It was an excellent placed to be based in a special part of the world.
Very nice, clean and spacious room, staff was polite, Asked for extra bed in the room for our 7 year old and it was no problem, no extra charge. Good free breakfast and good dinner.
Was a beautiful town, hotel exterior is unassuming but the rooms were spacious and clean. Restaurant located across was fantastic. Just FYI, to get to the town requires turning in a long tunnel which was a new experience for us.
la struttura Ăš molto basica ma pulita, il personale gentile in quel piccolo paesino troverete il piacere di mangiare nel ristorante annesso allâhotel.
The Fisherman is a hub for the town, with comfortable and attractive rooms, a restaurant/bar with excellent food and happy hour specials, and a tour of the fishing industry and history of the area. Breakfast was included in the already reasonable room price, which is a definite bonus for Iceland. The town is about 15 minutes from both Ăsafjörður and Flateryi, making the Fisherman a quieter place to sleep with easy access to the area's sights. There were a few downsides: the walls were on the thin side so there was some street noise. There was no television or refrigerator in the room.
We should up at 7:30pm after traveling all day. The doors were locked to the lobby so we had to call to get someone to check us in. We asked about dinner or food nearby, the hotel had a restaurant but it was already closed for the night. We had to drive 20 mins back into another town to get a gas station sandwich. The breakfast was okay for toast and hard boiled eggs, nothing hot in anyway. The room was freezing even after the heater was on. I took what felt like a 5 second shower because the water was freezing!
