The historic character of this fisherman’s cottage is undeniable. In the charming living and dining room and in the larger of the two bedrooms, we’ve exposed and restored the half-timbering. The dark wooden beams, paired with the preserved white clay walls and modern furnishings, give these rooms their special charm.<br><br>The apartment is located on the first floor of the Makrele vacation home and has two separate entrances and direct access to the orchard, where you can enjoy breakfast under a mature apple tree. With its two bedrooms, the apartment accommodates up to four people, who can choose to sleep in a bunk bed or a cozy double bed.<br><br>The kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic cooktop, range hood, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher. The newly renovated bathroom features a shower, toilet, towel dryer, and sink. In addition to a small collection of books and games, there’s also a TV and Wi-Fi, of course. You’ll also find a small welcome starter pack with supplies—such as a few dishwasher tabs—to ensure a hassle-free start to your vacation. In the garden, you’ll have comfortable outdoor furniture and a grill all to yourself. If you’re sitting outside on a balmy summer evening, listen closely: many different species of birds flit about our property.<br><br>If you love making jam from fresh fruit or just snacking on it, feel free to help yourself in the garden! Our fruit is for everyone to enjoy.<br><br>You can easily park your car on the property, and we’ve built a separate bike shed for bicycles. <br><br>Away from mass tourism, idyllic and peaceful—that’s Stahlbrode. You can even enjoy water sports like kitesurfing, windsurfing, or sailing.<br><br>Just 15 minutes to the island of Rügen—whether on foot, by bike, or by car. From April through October, the ferry service takes you to Germany’s largest island, home to stunning natural wonders such as the chalk cliffs in Jasmund National Park or one of Germany’s oldest nature reserves on the island of Vilm.<br><br>The old Hanseatic cities of Stralsund and Greifswald are each a 20-minute drive away and attract visitors with their historic old towns, an exciting cultural program, and a diverse array of restaurants and bars.<br><br>The Fischland-Darß-Zingst Peninsula, as well as the island of Hiddensee, are just an hour’s drive from Stahlbrode, making them ideal destinations for day trips.
