"Blue Turtle" is a beautiful OCEANFRONT home on Holden Beach featuring a HOT TUB overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Convenient, private walkway onto the beach and within EASY WALKING DISTANCE to Holden's restaurants/bars, ice cream parlors and coffee shop! This spacious home is well-appointed with 4 bedrooms (all King with private bath), 4.5 baths and 2 separate living areas- allowing guests to spread out and relax. The porches, decks and large windows showcase Holden's fantastic sunrise and sunset ocean views! Each bedroom and both living areas have a flat-screen, HD TV with premium cable channels and high-speed internet is available throughout the home. First floor includes 1 king Bedroom (with direct access to rocking chair porch, private bath with double vanity, large shower with bench). The oceanfront Living Room has a gas FIREPLACE and is open to the Dining area and Kitchen, featuring a large granite island and gas stove. A convenient powder room is just off the main living area. The second floor has 3 king Bedrooms, each with a private tub/shower bathroom (one of two oceanfront bedrooms has private balcony); and a laundry area with full sized washer & dryer. The second floor Living area, with queen sleeper sofa, has amazing unobstructed views of white sands Holden Beach. The professionally landscaped yard includes an expanded driveway, 2 showers (one large enclosed hot/cold shower with changing area and one boardwalk shower) and charcoal grill (charcoal not provided). Amazing place

This place was absolutely amazing. There was tons of room to fit our party of 9 very comfortably. The house comes with everything that you need for a wonderful vacation. Very tastefully decorated with lots of attention to detail.

Property was clean and right on beach! Close to coffee shop to walk to. Just was disappointed because hot tub was not clean so we didn’t use it.

4th of July Stay

The house was beautiful and exactly as listed. Would definitely stay there again. VRBO, Proactive the management company and Happy Stays App need to coordinate their communications better…very confusing. This is way to many people involved in the rental process.

Great getaway

We had an amazing time at Holden beach. The location of the house is perfect. The easy access to the beach was awesome for my 84-year old mother! We found tons of great shells and enjoyed the views! The fireplace was awesome for the cold winter days, and hot tub was an added bonus even though we had some issues with it. Maintenance was very responsive and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Will definitely come back!

Great until hurricane Florence

The house is definitely a 5 star. We only got to spend 3 of our 7 nights because of the mandatory evacuation. I like being close to the bridge for leaving the island for errands and entertainment. We had all adults so having all king bedrooms with their own bath was a luxury.

Great house, poor communication

The house was wonderful and the location was perfect! VRBO listed a high chair, but there wasn’t one and property manager said VRBO was mistaken. We had to buy one and while I requested reimbursement, I’ve heard nothing from VRBO. We brought a lot of things that we were told the kitchen didn’t have, but were there.

Beautiful home

We had a great time. Beautiful home and great location. Had some issues with maintenance. Spoke with a female and she stated some lone would be out next day. No one ever showed up. Left two messages and never heard from anyone. Hot tub quit working as well. It was off season but I would think at least someone would be on call for issues. All in all we had a great time. A vacation on the beach is better than 7 inches of snow and sub zero temperatures. Thank you !!!

Blue Turtle

My party of 5 was very comfortable at Blue Turtle. We had everything we needed in this well-appointed home. While I understand the need to keep things in order, I find Proactive Vacations' list of fines excessive. A $35 fine for leaving a glass in the dishwasher? Really? That's clearly disproportionate to the violation. Nevertheless, we're the kind of guests who leave things the way we find them without the threat of financial sanction. My party unanimously agrees we would stay in this beautiful oceanfront home again.

Great stay

The house was beautiful, views and location were amazing. My only complaint was that the carpet has spots and stains and needs a deep cleaning or maybe even replacement. The fan in the main bedroom was missing a blade and there was damage to the tiles in one of the upstairs bedrooms. I called maintenance about an issue with the outside frig and retractable awning and they responded quickly and fixed the problem. Overall I’d give it a 5 star rating because management responded so quickly to any issues or problems. Everyone was so nice and accommodating at proactive vacations management.

Wonderful Stay!

Staying at the Blue Turtle was a great decision. Proactive’s services were very timely and the home was equipped with just about everything we needed. We hope to be back next year! Just as a reminder, you do have to bring your own towels, unless you order them from Proactive in advance. Also, the area is very quiet in January and most of the local restaurants on Holden Beach are closed for the season.

Blue turtle Holden Beach

The property was awesome and I loved everything about this house and location. The rental stated not to step foot on the property before 4pm checki-in or it would be trespassing. Wow! We drove past at 3:50 and came back at 4:02 and the cleaning lady was in the house, doing some touch ups. Really more like enforcement. The property was awesome!!
