"It was perfect for one night before an early flight the next day. Check in was easy, the room was clean and spacious after spending 2 weeks in a tent. The kitchen facilities were excellent with hob, microwave, kettle, dishwasher and pots and pans etc. Everything you needed to cook a meal. There was lots of leftover food and gas canisters in the cupboards for you to use and food in the fridge. There was a ridiculous amount of jars of coffee that had been started but not used up! Great place to end your holiday (and if you started it here you would save a fortune on gas and food if you are planning to camp!)"

"I often fly between Boston and Europe via KEF. The connecting flights to/from European cities often have 8-12 hour nighttime layovers. I used to stay in the terminal and arrived at my final destination exhausted. Lately I stay at the Aurora Hotel at KEF. Easy/safe walk from the terminal. You get some sleep and a great breakfast, and arrive rested and ready to enjoy your vacation. If your layover is long enough you can even visit one of the hot spring lagoons nearby or near Reykjavik.
