I'll start by saying that Sydney is an expensive city, and so are probably the hotels, especially during the Chinese New Year when the city is full of tourists.
After this introduction, I will say that there is no excuse in the world for such a low value we received in this hotel for more than 300 dollars a night!!
Already upon arrival, we entered a smelly room, which did not surprise us so much, since the elevator and the corridor also smelled of human urine. With a direct connection or not, the room was also filthy - stains on the walls, mold in the shower and in the air conditioner, a ragged and shabby carpet and a balcony so neglected (why for God's sake? there is already a balcony in the room. What's the problem with putting some synthetic grass to cover the ugly floor and a small hole to drain the water?!).
The double bed we ordered was two single beds pushed together, and that's without saying a word about how uncomfortable the bed is and broke our backs for three nights!!
**probably needless to say, no cleaner bothered to come near our room for three nights (is it real that we pay 300 dollars a night and they don't even make our sheets??).
To sum it up, in all my years I don't think I've come across a hotel so neglected and wretched, that in no situation does it justify even a quarter of the price they charge for it.
Stay away as much as possible!!
PS: The guy at the reception was nice. This is the only kind word that can be said about this stay
