Have stayed at ovolo a few times now. First room I was allocated to the air-conditioner was not working and on a hot 30° day I waited to unpack whilst I waited for the air-conditioner to start working, I ended up having to ring reception and they were very quick to move me to the wharf side, which was in my opinion of the better side anyway, and had a brand-new air-conditioning system. I will note though that the air-conditioner appears to be on a timer of some sort and continuously would turn off at all hours, I would only be aware of this because the room would always start heating up. I remember the bar used to be quite a popular place to go back in the day but while I visited it Dead and no atmosphere. There are many other restaurants and pubs/bars around though in walking distance. The first night parking cost me $90 valet as I was coming from Canberra and not too familiar with the area I felt that was the best option, but on the second evening I managed to get a car park untimed right out the front. I loved the little one bedroom two story loft. The downstairs lounge room had everything I needed for comfort for a busy few days of work. I ordered in a few times and the food was all spectacular. I never got to see the pool or much else as I was just too busy. I will definitely stay again though.

Hmmmm...

The hotel is a bit quirky and interesting but there are certain practical issues that need improvement. The lighting, water pressure and access inside the rooms are less than ideal lacking. But Deepa made up for any ill feelings with her lovely manner and the excellent breakfast also helped.
