Interesting little heritage place. Room was bigger and more modern than expected. Staff, especially in the pub weren't overly friendly and seemed much more comfortable with locals than tourists. Super close to the Ricks, Skytower etc. No elevator so beware if you have accessibility issues.

Great food and beer was excellent! Location is very walkable to both Circular Quay and Darling harbour. However….there is no elevator! Our room was 3 flights up and no porter to assist. We would not stay there again for that reason.

Really cool place to stay a night or two in Sydney. You sleep upstairs over the bar/restaurant which has great beers on draft. Bed was comfortable and room spacious. Neighborhood is quiet and close to The Rocks where lots of restaurants are located as well as a beautiful walking area in Bangaroo.

Lovely historic hotel and pub close to the CBD. Easy to reach from the Metro station at Barangaroo and walking distance to the CBD, and the tourist sites. Room was comfortable and spacious. Would stay again.

Its a great old hotel with character however the room I stayed in was v small and tired. Not great. No hairdryer - had to ask the cleaner for help to get one. My room was on third floor and no elevator so had to get my bag up and down three flights! No check in or reception - you talk to the bartendr for help. Shower was nice. If you like character and are happy with second rate then its in a great location - v close to the Rocks market, harbour bridge, Central rail station and cruise wharf bars.

I was greeted my a lovely lady that works there. I was able to leave my bags before check in to explore the city. My room was very spacious, bed was comfortable and it was nice to take a hot bath after a long day of travel. If you’re looking for something historic, that has a pub in the lobby, and for a comfortable stay in the heart of Sydney then this is it!

We booked our room because our friends had told us about the hotel being in a convenient location, which was indeed the case. We put up with the fact that there is no lift. My wife could not use the shower in the bath, so we won't be going back. What we did like was the spacious and brightly lit room (ideal for reading, although the chairs were uncomfortable).

The accomodation was very nice as were the staff. Unfortunately the only issue we had was the poor air conditioning which was way too hot for our liking which inevitably impacted our sleep and the satisfaction rating. If they managed to fix the issue I would definitely stay again.
