Reynold's Charming West Shore Cabin
This charming Lake Tahoe cabin was built in 1955 and is situated on Tahoeâs Magical West Shore, just a short drive from Tahoe City. It is set back on over a half-acre lot offering guests privacy while enjoying the wooded setting. A darling vacation rental with four bedrooms and two baths, which will sleep up to eight people and you can even bring along one well-mannered pet. There is a large garage/shed for all of your winter or summertime outdoor equipment. Upon entering this home you will find yourself in the living area with high whitewashed ceilings, cozy furniture and a stone gas-burning fireplace. Off to the side is the well-equipped kitchen and simple dining area. At the back of the house, you will find the master bedroom with a Queen size bed, access to the garage, a large closet and its own full bathroom. Thru the French doors, you find yourself on a private deck in the backyard, where you can enjoy the sunshine and relax in a hammock stretched between two trees(may not always be set up). In the winter months, there is plenty of room for playing in the snow. There is a full bath at the bottom of the stairs that lead up to a loft area and a small bedroom with a Double size bed. Another set of stairs will take you to two more guest bedrooms, the first has two Twin beds and the other airy room has a Queen size bed. There is wifi. Tennis courts and volleyball are close by at Kilner Park where there is even a playground for the little ones and 7 wooded acres of trails. Very close to Sunnyside Resort, Firesign Cafe and local market. This home is on the shuttle route to the backside of Alpine Meadows, just minutes away. Homewood Mountain is minutes down the road and a short drive will take you to Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley USA.
All of our rentals come with fully equipped kitchens; most kitchens do not have pantry items due to wildlife concerns. We provide all linens and towels; most units have beach towels as well. There is a washer and dryer in every rental. Every unit has Wi-Fi. There is NO A/C, this is not commonly found in Tahoe, there are fans.
This is a great place, seriously. Total Old Tahoe charm and complete with everything you could ask for. I am so curious about its history-thereâs a bird feeder out front that states itâs the Old Pineland Historic Inn. I googled it but didnât find anything. And I realize that when a rental accepts pets that you may need to lower your standards some. Itâs a given. But this place really would benefit from a deep cleaning. Old food spatters on the walls and grime around door and cabinet knobs that you can see and feel. It just felt like this place hadnât been cleaned in years. That said, if this place had a major clean up, Iâd rent it again!
This is a great place to stay to be close to the lake and comfortable with lots of people. There are plenty of beds (but it might be a tight squeeze to have everyone in the living room together...) I loved how the kitchen was well-stocked with all the supplies you would need to cook a full meal for your group/family. It was nice to see even a coffee grinder (even though it didn't work...)
