This architectural gem of a cabin is SO well appointed and cozy … everything you might think to need. Carolyn is very responsive. One tip … in case your reception for emails is weak, make certain to exchange cell #’s to communicate with Carolyn as I had no problems with my cell phone for contacting her. LOVED this Gem!

Very cute cabin with lots of alpine cabin decor that helped immerse us in the Tahoe experience, including the skylights that let us view the forest around us. The nearby private beach club was beautiful, and the short stroll over to nearby Sunnyside and Shadyside restaurants was convenient when we wanted to eat out. The beautiful bike route was close by and we were able to ride to it directly from the cabin. Carolyn was a pleasure to work with and we look forward to coming back.

Great spot to chill out or act as a home base for mountain activities. Private lake access is 2 blocks away with awesome beach and dock facilities. The house is 2nd floor above garage and super cute and clean. Has a nice deck area for wine and snacks while your dog hangs out in the yard. Carolyn is a great hostess and we will absolutely be going back

Carolyn’s cabin in North Lake Tahoe is a hidden gem. The pictures do not do it justice, this cabin is pristine, charming, cozy, and the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Carolyn and her family were such gracious hosts, providing area recommendations and puppy friends for our Corgi to play with!

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautiful and cozy Buckhorn cabin! Carolyn was an amazing host--she was so friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of great suggestions from beaches to restaurants within walking distance and beyond. The location is a dream--walking distance to restaurants, cafe/deli and a gorgeous private beach. One thing to be aware of is that the private beach only allows dogs before 10 am. This wasn't a problem for us because there is a great dog park and dog friendly beach within close driving distance--ask Carolyn for directions. I'll include photos of the private beach and the interior of the cabin.
