We gave this place an okay rating, but in truth it was a barely an okay experience. We will not be going back, and in fact, it jeopardizes the reputation of the entire marriott boutique branch of hotels.
The quality of our room was worse than any Best Western but charging so much more. The heater spewed out a burning smell that went away after an hour but the smell lingered. The lighting was horrible such that you could not see much of anything let alone apply makeup. The only window was so fogged up and filthy between panes that everthing outside looked dim and drab. They still use wall to wall carpet, which is so dated and unhealthy.
The bathroom, however, was the worse. Their idea of upgrading this tiny space was to paint over the bathroom tiles in black, pop in a plastic, black drop ceiling that never dried, and certainly harbored mold, only it was too dark to identify. The shower door was badly installed and did'nt slide correctly, there was no room at the sink to store even a few toiletries, the cheap floor board was detaching from the wall at the bathroom door, and on and on.
It is shameful (and false advertising) to call this place a "luxury" boutique.
