The Capital Inn was delightful. Very charming and calm in a bustling college town. Lots of things to do within walking distance. Coffee, restaurants, small shops.
The exterior is commercial inn meets BNB clean and nicely decorated. The interior is very homey, yet upscale. Well appointed with creature comforts and all the necessities. There's a small lounge with coffee maker and microwave, TV and sofa just outside our room and bathroom with shower and this area has it's own entry door. I believe that part of the inn could be rented independently of the whole place. The kitchen, breakfast room, great room and library were beautiful and comfortable.
Our room was small but nicely appointed. The bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, with posh linens. There was a nice lounge chair, desk and chair, real lamps and tasteful art. A very nice touch was a basket of snacks, fruit and peligrino waters with the managers card. We felt very welcomed and cared for. The bathroom was spacious, light, clean and all the amenities were there. They thought of everything. The only thing I would add would be black out curtains over the blinds that could be drawn open or closed. There was quite a bit of outside light that came in during the night for sleeping.
I highly recommend this Inn and will stay here anytime I'm in Tallahassee funds permitting.
