Our flock at Flamingo Haven love flamingling with us because our private, 1926 historic bungalow w/ sparkling HEATED POOL, is themed throughout with a flamingo-coast vibe, and is the perfect combination of class, comfort and coziness! We are the ORIGINAL Flamingo Haven, locally owned, (not corporate owned) and it shows in how we treat our guests. Close to the action & heart of the city, we are centrally located just 2 miles from downtown Tampa for concerts, games & fun! In a quiet neighborhood, we are 2 min away from the peaceful Hillsborough River. Flamingo Haven has it all, including a loaded kitchen, firepit and grill at no extra charge! It is fabulously decorated with no detail, or your comfort, forgotten! The home comes loaded with 1000gb WiFi, Free Netflix, Pandora, and Smart TVs in every room! We are, by far, the most famous bird in town! 🦩

Flamingo Haven is a historic bungalow, with a private, heated (76-80°F) pool, built in 1926.

Centrally located in historic Seminole Heights & Tampa, this 2 bed 2 bath, with sofabed , is 2 miles from downtown & I-275, 3 miles from the Bucks Stadium & just steps away from the peaceful Hillsborough River.

Each room includes at least one unique feature to ensure you will feel pampered because your comfort is our #1 goal! The Coral Reef, (primary bedroom), comes with a king size Sleep Number®️bed which allows you and your partner to individually select your own mattress firmness with a remote control!

Surfs Up, (2nd room), comes with both an upgraded Cooling Gel memory foam queen size mattress and an electric fireplace to bring you that cozy (& dare we say romantic?) ambiance. Turn it on, select your settings (includes no heat option) and cozy up to your loved one (or good book from our free Book Exchange!)

We also offer several selections of pillows; MyPillow, Bamboo, classic cotton and of course, feather! Combined with soft sheets, cozy, super-soft blankets, & light blocking drapes, you will feel rested for a whatever the day brings.

With a Keurig + Cappuccino Maker, & Tea Kettle (both with large selection of flavors) there's nothing to hold you back from the perfect start to a perfect day!

BAKERS & CHEF’S-KITCHEN: Baker’s delight in this kitchen and come from far and wide to practice their craft here, and surprise their families with made from home dishes while traveling! It’s home away from home! Don’t feel like cooking? No problem! Guests rave about the exotic flavors & that includes breweries and wineries alike. Finding a farm to table is not unusual, and is in fact, the norm. While chain restaurants are not. The only chain restaurant you will find here is Starbucks.

You are welcome to the entire house! The only areas that are off limits are the shed, the two upper closets over the main closets in the Coral Reef that are locked, and the pool equipment.

🦩THE BACKYARD
The backyard includes a porch, with bistro set, and access door to the utility room with washer & dryer, charcoal Weber Grill, patio table for 4, and sofa sectional for 6. There are also 4-chaise lounges, and two tilt & solar powered lighted umbrellas.

🌸 (Note - by booking this house you are agreeing to the House Rules which states you will put everything back like you found them. Covered, clean and free of food and debris to avoid additional cleaning fees that the cleaners charge us to deal with "extra items" and follow the departure instructions).

🦩 POOL
There is a large, heated, private pool on the property. The pool meets the State of Florida safety regulations. The pool is beautiful & cleaned professionally every Tuesday / Wednesday. Sometimes there are leaves in the deep end of the pool as the pool is not caged. This is because the neighborhood is over 100 years old and the city will not allow caging of the pools. With the 100 year old grand oaks, and other very old, very large trees, it is almost impossible to keep leaves out of the pool. The leaves do not affect the Ph balance of the pool. If the leaves bother you, you may scoop them out with the pool net. The pool is heated to a max temp of 81°F at no additional charge. The cost to run it over 81°F is $50/day with a max of 90°F or 30°F over ambient night temps whichever is greater.

* Swim at your own risk.
* There is no lifeguard on duty.
* No diving into the pool.
* Children must be accompanied by an adult.
* No animals in the pool.
* No more than 6 person's in the pool.
* The pool is heated, and is set to 81°F Oct - May.
* Tampering with pool equipment is against house rules.

The front porch has two seating areas; two rockers with ottomans, & a porch swing (max total weight is 450lbs).

There may be fresh herbs in the yard (when in season). Please, help yourself (in barrel by front fence.)

We provide a full set of essential amenities unlike MANY rentals at no charge as part of our standard stay. This is a huge benefit when you are looking for a home to rent as most places provide a “Starter Pack” and expect you to go grocery shopping for toilet paper when in vacation. We act like a hotel and provide you with your essential amenities the ENTIRE STAY. That is a valuable service, and one we are very proud of. It is expensive, but we value our customer’s satisfaction.

There are other non-stated amenities in the home such as sugar, condiments, spices, and they may change from guest to guest. If you have a specific request, please message us and we will do our best to accommodate you!

The home has a Nest Thermostat, it will be set to a minimum of 71F so it doesn't freeze out the A/C unit and a high heat of 80°F.
