The Cottage, Catford House

The Cottage, Catford House is a charming one bedroom traditional character cottage, set in a quiet rural location. The bed is king-size double, which can be made up as a twin on request. The cottage has recently been completely refurbished throughout and we are delighted to offer it for holidays. The Cottage, Catford House, is well suited for couples looking for a quiet get away and wanting to explore Exmoor. The property is attached to the main house next door, where the owners live, but benefits from a private entrance, drive and private parking. The Cottage has a secure lawn garden and a courtyard complete with table and chairs, ideal for alfresco dining. Guests will be welcomed with a hospitality pack comprising something to drink and something to eat (usually cake or biscuits), plus in the kitchen you will find tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper to get your holiday off to a good start. A pint of milk will be in the fridge.

Great few days away fantastic cottage, very cozy loved having the log burner. Nice great views nice having the farm next door, away from all the husstle and bustle great place to chill and relax

It was such a lovely property, like a home away from home. Being in the middle of nowhere it is absolutely silent and so calm. Beautiful scenery, plus easy to get to lots of different places around. Would recommend doing a shop beforehand as you can then relax immediately when you get there. If you want to get away and have some peace and quiet, this is definitely the place!

Fabulous stay
We had a wonderful short break here. The weather was awful, but the heating in the cottage kept us warm, and it was a comfy, cosy stay. Everything about the property feels well thought out, from the kitchen equipment to the super comfy bed, to the generous welcome hamper (the scones are worth the trip alone!). The fast wifi more than made up for the lack of phone signal, and it was really good value too. Had a lovely stay and would come back if ever in this part of the world again, thank you!
