Very small room with bathroom but fine for a one night stopover on way to Auckland with a late afternoon arrival. Was walking distance to Taupo for food (there was a restaurant but as a solo traveller don’t usually use restaurants on my own)

Biggest pain was the bathroom door didnt close properly left a 100mm gap. Otherwise good sized room, and the service and meal at the restaurant was excellent..the views from the restaurant are superb. Service desk was at least half an hour late unlocking doors to the stairs, not the best.

Booked breakfast for 7.30 . Tried several doors to get to dining room but all were locked. On our second visit we asked at the desk when we checked in and apparently there was one upstairs but there was no one we could ask at the desk on the previous stay and there was no written directions at reception. Otherwise our stays were satisfactory.

I let them know I have a disability, and while I was given a downstairs room, it was a long way from the front door, and down a long hallway, right next to the laundry. There was no one to help carry bags, etc. The food was OK. The same fried food I would have had at home, but not done as nicely. The bed was had and there was no chair or other place to sit in the room. The view was a plastic pipe in a dirt garden! No lake in sight.

The accommodation is in a great area walkable to town or great walks in other direction. Lakefront. Room very clean, bedding/beds appeared very new. Warm. Great little hot tub - didn't have time to try the pool - but was heated. Staff were extremely accommodating and friendly. Some room features a bit tired - but to be expected at this price-point. I can imagine downstairs rooms a bit noisy if upstairs rooms occupied. Would definately stay again.

Room was a tad small but good - had everything I needed. Great view from restaurant - right on the lake so perfect position. Lots of parking available but was there in the off season.

Friendly staff around the property. Good dining in the restaurant. Would be great if there was bed side lamps to have alittle light without having to keep the main light on. Would be very nice to have hooks in the bathroom to hang up towls after showering to allow for drying.

Nice tidy room, clean bathroom. Only fault was the matress had been well used, i woke up with a bad back both nights. Tidy facilities and friendly staff who showed me to my room on arrival. I would stay again.
