So upon arrival to Cabin 12 we were greeted with what looked like a well presented cabin. When inside we notice that a screw is poking out of the drawers ( the sharp end). We had children with us so we had to try and take the screw out to prevent anyone getting scratched.
The door to the main bedroom was missing and instead there was a raised piece of broken plastic on the floor which had to be avoided.
We noticed at this point a couple of cockroaches, which we thought was normal for a campsite as we have come across some on our travels.
So we proceeded to enjoy the pool activities which we had a fantastic time in the pool area.
Back to the cabin we encountered another couple of cockroaches but again tried not to let it get in the way.
Until later in the evening it got worse..... Alot worse. As soon as the sun went down it was like they came out with vengeance. Now we've stayed in a lot of places and come across the odd one here and there but this cabin had loads. They were running up on the chairs we were sitting on. Running on the fridge, the counter tops. On the walls of where the bunk beds are.
At this point the reception was closed so we called out of hours. Granted due to the time it was, there wasn't alot that could be done. Or could there? surely there should be some sort of contingency for properties where an issue arises. We were handed a spray (which I wasn't going to use with children in the cabin). This looks like an infestation not the odd one.
