Awesome place to stay. I was at the 2nd level, last room on the left. Very nice view of the lake and the ice mountain. Clean, private and comfy. They have bed warmers and both mounted and portable heaters.

The property is a bit dated and it would be good if they could better insulate the rooms, but the kitchenette is fine, the shower pretty good, the staff lovely and the view stunning.

I was delighted with an upgrade to a lake view room. The bed was very comfortable. The lift was close to my room and was noisy, but fortunately not too late. I bought food in town for my meal at a wonderful cafe - Kefi, Horomatangi Street, Taupo. Highly recommended.

View from room is oki, but the room was smelly when i checked it, i informed the Receptionist and she just said “ look like some one cooked a meal”. That is not a good answer, as people checked out at 10 am. If they cleaned the room, they must smell it. This motel has a good view, but the property is old and dirty
