Construction: approx 85.m2 and approx. 12m2 patio. Built 2008.


Description: Situated on a hilltop by the River GilĂŁo in Tavira and part of an ultra modern development, this apartment offers the perfect holiday retreat. The community of exclusive apartments and townhouses surround the manicured gardens and pool areas, including a children's pool and play area, decking lawned areas with plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas. Watch the sun set over Tavira and at nightfall the gardens and pool glow in the soft illumination of the garden lights. For evenings out simple take the steps down the side of the hill to the river where traditional restaurants and bars decorate the banks and families take a stroll after dinner. The beach of Tavira is on the Island and boats to take you across the lagoon to the 'Isla' cruise the River GilĂŁo through out the year. Tavira Island is totally unspoilt, has excellent restaurants and long stretches of sandy beaches. For the more adventures you can hire a bike in Tavira and a short cycle along the river takes you to "Pego do Inferno" (Hell Hole! So named, as allegedly there is no bottom to the plunge pool) and despite its name, is a gorgeous waterfall and lagoon where you can swim.

Impeccably furnished and well equipped there is a private entrance via the front garden with video entry system. Entrance hall with storage for outdoor furniture. Kitchen is fully fitted with integral appliances, large fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer, microwave, and convection oven, hob and dishwasher. Glass sliding door to living room/dining room. with leather sofas and flat screen TV. Sliding glass doors to garden area. Dining area with four chairs. Internal courtyard with table and chairs, and doors to kitchen and sitting room.

Twin bedroom with built in wardrobe. Doors to balcony with table and chairs. Main bathroom with Jacuzzi bath/shower. Master bedroom with en-suite shower bathroom, double bed, built in wardrobes and balcony. The apartment has marble tiled floors, security shutters and air-conditioning.

Tavira offers old world charm and the local council has taken full advantage of the rich history of this ancient city with a strong emphasis on art, preservation and culture. During the summer there is a diary of free events in and around the city from book fairs and antique markets to music and films shown in the open air. In the winter there is classical music in the
churches where the doors are open for visitors and residents alike. Christmas sees the city festooned in twinkling lights and New Year is enjoyed with a firework display over the river. Tavira has a temperate climate so sitting with a "galĂŁo" (milky coffee) in the sunshine can be enjoyed any time of the year.

For golf lovers there is a plethora of golf courses to choose from, e.g. Benamor, Quinta da Ria, Quinta de Cima and Castro Marim or the new Monte Rei Course is a first class addition for the Eastern Algarve.

Very nice apartment on the heights of Tavira

Beautiful spacious apartment, very well equipped, beautiful large swimming pool. Ideal for a week of vacation in the most beautiful city of the Algarve. A little effort is needed to reach the beaches but they are so beautiful.

The condo was clean and organized. The small patio in the front looks out over the grounds and was a nice spot to sit. Property grounds are nicely maintained. The complex is quiet and peaceful. Wifi good. A quick walk down the stairs and you’re directly in town. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It’s an older unit and there is some minor maintenance that needs attention inside the condo but nothing that affected our stay. Pool was very cold. Overall, we would recommend it!

Apartment was located in a nice residential area. The pool was never overcrowded and was accessible at all times. The apartment is located within a secured complex.All the rooms were clean and tidy as was the bedding.The host was excellent and punctual.however, some elements within the apartment require renewal, modernising. The air con in the main living room was excessively noisy. Mosquitoes were a particular problem especially at night.The apartment is located at height above Tavira town. Access to this area on foot is by a large number of steep steps. I would not recommend this apartment unless you have a car, or are fairly fit. Not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.The apartment is also situated above a gym. It can get very noisy early in the morning before 8am with the sound of weights being used and slammed down.

Tavira Apartment

We enjoyed our stay at this spacious apartment but it does require some maintenance/updating. We discussed this with the Property Management Company who was very receptive toward us. During our stay, there were a couple of issues requiring immediate action, and they were dealt with to our satisfaction in a very timely manner. The apartment is well equipped with dishes, pots/pans, cutlery but it does not have any consumables. This was unlike other VRBOs we have rented. We enjoy walking but it should be noted there is a staircase with many (129) steps to get to and from town. The neighbourhood was quiet and felt safe. Tavira is a lovely town in the Algarve that shouldn’t be missed!

Perfect way to enjoy Tavira

This place is beautiful, great space, lovely linens , firm, good quality mattress, new dishes/pots and pans, towel warmers, good washer too! The pool area is excellent. Very quiet and well maintained outdoor spaces. The Happy Homes people were great to work with. Yes, there are stairs to get to town but you can also drive for 5 minutes and be in the main squares. Lots of parking! There is a fitness gym below the property-we didn’t look into day passes but that might be possible. The patios were perfect for lovely meals outside.

Well located. Safe neighborhood. Good size apartment. Nice grounds. All basic needs provided. The apartment could use a little refurbishing, issue with the electric window shutter , bathroom toilets need updating

Nice, but not luxury.

Well appointed apartment but it needed some maintenance. The furniture was tired and worn. The grounds/pool were lovely. The walkways need work. Many loose tiles and trip hazards. Not a location for people with mobility issues. A ten minute walk to town center with alot of stairs. No convenient stores nearby.

Great place for a getaway

This is our third time in this apartment complex and this unit was the nicest we've stayed in. It was clean, the furniture was modern and in good shape, the beds were comfortable. Internet reception was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped except it could use a larger frying pan. The one they currently have is tiny. There were some burned out light bulbs in the bathrooms and the entryway and the freezer door wouldn't close properly. We notified the property managers and I'm sure they'll take care of it before the next guests arrive. We'd definitely stay here again.
