Really lovely pub with rooms. Food was outstanding. Room really comfortable, bed cosy and bathroom well appointed. Rainforest shower head and very good water pressure. Lots of very hot water. Forgot to turn the radiator down meant we roasted overnight but that was our error. Staff were very lovely and accommodating. Pub itself very busy with a good atmosphere, but not noisy or rowdy as it’s a gastro pub. Would definitely recommend and return.

Ample car spaces ans always available during our 3 night stay. Excellent and friendly staff. Superb food albeit on the pricey side. Lovely town with unique independent shops, pleasant town walks

The room was exceptional for the style and comfort. Was well worth the pricetag. The cooked breakfast was one of the best I have had in years if not ever! The bar area was very classy and the parking is immediately behind the hotel. If I had friends or guests coming to Tavistock, I will be definitely recommending this hotel! Will stay again for sure!

Beautiful room & amazing food

Stayed in the Stag room. Was beautifully decorated, big room and en suites. Absolutely massive bed and really comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. We also had dinner in the restaurant and the food is amazing! Would highly recommend, really enjoyed our stay, thank you!

Overpriced and underwhelming

Our room was comfortable and tastefully decorated if a little small and without the minibar fridge that is mentioned in room facilities. Also very noisy street outside so ask for a rear facing room. Whilst the food is delicious, ÂŁ28.50 for one filet of pan fried bream served without any significant vegetables is not good value for money especially when a very small portion of chips cost ÂŁ5.95! The overall attitude of the waiting staff both at dinner and breakfast was at best indifferent! Sadly other than the lady who checked us in, it seems nobody else had the ability to smile or display any welcoming traits!

Cornish Arms stay

Lovely room, excellent food. However they supply earplugs for a reason. If you are a light sleeper you may suffer from the music from the nearby night club or the revellers in the street. Everything else is excellent.

This is a fantastic place to stay, right in the town. There is parking on site which is very handy. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The food is simply amazing. We will definitely be back.

Nice place but food expensive

Very nice staff at the bar and housecleaning. Hotel very clean and well presented. Bed was very hard and the room was over the kitchen air vent so had smells of cooking if you opened the window. Food is very expensive and not competitive with surrounding establishments.
