Glad we only had to stay one night as a short stop on our way to Milford Sound. Rooms appeared clean. Walls are paper thin and can hear conversations in other rooms. Water pressure in the shower was good. Felt like a very low-end motel. Location was good across the street from the lake.

Close to beach and town centre (walking distance). Laundry room had enough washers and dryers that there was no line, the units also worked well. Kitchen was a little chaotic but that could be due to the other patrons, staff made sure that it was clean and guests had access to pots/pans/knives/chopping boards/etc. Our cabin was tiny but cozy, with good layout for two people and two big suitcases.

We were able to get a 2 bedroom room at short notice after we were turned around on the Milford Track due weather, Room was well presented and clean. About a 10 minute walk to town. Had all we needed.

The rooms do not keep out any sound, can hear the people speaking in the next rooms plus anyone walking past, can hear other people opening and closing their sliding doors. We realised it was a budget room but not expecting to hear every sound. No tvs in room too.

Room was clean but a little dated and quite noisy with adjoining studio unit. The was quite a strong chemical smell in the bathroom are but clean and good facilities. Location was great and easily walkable to the local town centre and offered experience booking services whilst in the Fiordland area

Photographs of this property and their rooms are extremely deceptive. The room that I was given reminded me of an infirmary at anxelemtsry school in the 80s. The properties are also built on an elevated platform with crawl space underneath, so every little step when people are walking down the hall way is felt/heard. Booked 2x nights here, put my key in the dropbox and left the next morning after night 1. Do not recommend.

The price of cabins is ridiculously expensive and not worth the price for these weird boxes for cabins. Cabins are a danger of falling going in and out the door with a high step and a lip thats a terrible trip hazard. Someone is going to have a bad fall. No tv, should be a basic.staff not helpful at all. Stay in town at the top 10 instead.

I stayed in a private room with shared bathroom. Given the inexpensive price, I was a bit concerned about what I might find. It was great! I got there after the office was closed, but they had arranged for me to get my key late and a map to my room, and it went smoothly. Pillows were fluffy, linens were good quality, and everything was clean. Everything in the building was well maintained. It was off season, so I'm not sure if it would be noisy if all the rooms were full, but it was quiet while i was there. The only negatives were that the kitchen was closed, so i couldnt prepare food, or at least i couldnt find an open kitchen. Happily youre a 5 min drive or 15 min walk from restraunts. The dining area was open, pleasant and well maintained. There seems to be somewhat minimal parking, but I may just not have understood where to park. I did find a space near my room.
