I LOVE EVERYTHING about this hotel. Just REALLY wish it had a jacuzzi. Temperature in Tegucigalpa is too cool for me to enjoy the pool.

Excellent property and service, great food
Pros:Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Free Internet
I was in Tegucigalpa for work,a conference being held at the Intercontinental, so of course it was perfectly convenient. I was upgraded to Executive floor which I loved, my room had lovely high ceilings and a nice view of the mountains. They have several courtesies for executive floor, you can have a quick breakfast there or go down to the buffet which is extensive. They also have coffee and a happy hour with drinks and snacks, I actually didn't have dinner after my glass of wine and petit fours. My last morning there I wanted a nice breakfast so went down to the Main buffet, they didnt have the Baleadas I was craving, a typical Honduran goodie. I asked the woman at the buffet and they made me an order, which I thought was very nice. The phone in my room and the tub didnt work when I arrived, but I asked for help and they fixed right away. Its located right accross from Multiplaza Shopping center which is convenient for shopping and additional food choices.

GUNS EVERYWHERE-SMALL ROOMS
Pros:no pros except for the mall across the street.
I came to this hotel for the first time in August 2011 and expected a lot more especially for the price and hotel name but my expectations were shot down before I ever got out of the cab from the airport. There must have been at least 15 military and police all visibly armed with side arms and shotguns at the front entrance. After I checked in I entered my room which was very small-extremely small. The bed was not comfortable and the sheets were dirty. I immediately called the front desk and housekeeping came and I showed them that the sheets had not been changed from the prior quest. The housekeeping girl looked disgusted and apologized after I showed her that the sheets had not been changed. There was hair and something green on the sheets. I asked that my sheets be changed every day. If you just put the sign on the outside of the door for sheet change sometimes they won't change for you. The really only good thing about this hotel is that there is a mall across the street which has a food court where I ate lunch every day. I never ate in the hotel because of the price. Don't use the mini bar because for the price of one bottle of water in the mini you can buy five across the street in the store. Tegucigalpa does not have many choices for good hotels but that statement also goes for all of Central America. The staff was very good- I must say this. GOOD LUCK

Excellent Hotel!
Ive nevered slept as well as I did at this Intercontinental it has everything nearby a mal just across the street Attention was perfect the swimming pool is very nice. Ill come back anytime I can!
