Updated Pet-Friendly Hotel Room With King Bed on the River

This updated riverside room at the Mountainside Inn is a great affordable spot for couples and their pet!

*Please note: Parking in the town of Telluride is a growing issue. Mountainside Inn parking spaces are limited, and permit availability is first come, first served. We strongly encourage you to consider one of the many local shuttle options in favor of driving. Should you choose to drive, and use one of the Mountainside Inn Parking Permits, there is a $20 per night parking fee. If there is no Mountainside Inn parking available, you may need to park overnight in one of the local paid parking garages.*

The Mountainside Inn is located along the San Miguel River in the heart of Telluride. It is comprised of four separate buildings, all of which are two floors with stair access (no elevators).

This hotel room is located on the first floor along the river and has been upgraded to improve guest comfort. The room features a king bed, flatscreen TV with cable, mini-fridge, microwave, fan and humidifier. The bathroom has a step-in shower, granite countertops, a separate water closet, and a hairdryer.

Complimentary wifi is included. A well-stocked vending machine and coin-operated laundry are located on the property. There is no A/C at the Mountainside Inn.

The Mountainside Inn is just two blocks from the grocery store, and about a 10-minute walk from historic downtown Telluride. The river trail offers a delightful path through town, and the free in-town shuttle picks up about a 1/2-block from the Inn.

This room is dog-friendly with prior notification and a $30/night fee. Pet fees will be charged at check-in. Two dog limit.

Crazy $$ for what you get

This is a hotel room that would cost $85 a night anywhere else. The Pictures made it look at lot bigger. Worst part is the huge additional cleaning fee added on top the the reservation because although the overall room felt clean, the floors were dirty and unswept. You had to brush your feet off before getting into the “king” bed which was actually two old/very soft twin beds pushed together. Positive: Trail into town was nice and convenient. Nice to walk back and forth.

Challenging to drop off and unloading. Written instructions for finding parking lot in addition to the too small print map would have saved us a lot of time in finding your overflow parking spaces. The room was acceptable but TV, microwave and coffee pot didn’t work or instructions also needed to be provided.

Great location

Room was perfect - Clean, exactly as described. Perfect walking location to the cute downtown . The lovely, lovely river path was about a 30 second walk from the room and that path was one of my favorite parts of Telluride! Such fun walking on that beautiful pathway. Super convenient parking lot for our small RV. ( A parking permit came along with our room reservation.) The parking lot was only about a 2 minute walk down the path. My husband is an avid cyclist & was sooo happy with all the amazing trails . We both wished we had made the reservation for several more days!! I highly recommend staying here!!

Wonderful!

Great location! On the path! By the mountain stream! Simple, serene and clean:) The 3 gondolas are free in the summer! Great hike to Bridal Veil Falls and others! Good coffee at Bruno, lunch at Smuggler Union and Corner House Grill, enjoyed walking around the beautiful historic town!

Nice but ridiculously overpriced room - well-appointed and with a window onto the stream- that window is the best par. Room had a fridge and microwave so one could live and avoid all the expensive food places in Telluride

Perfect location

Everything in Telluride within half a mile, right on the Riverwalk for easy access without needing to hit roads until you get into town. Best location for the price of pretty much any trip I can remember.

Not a king. Two twins put together with gap in between.. Poor bedding, no blankets Flat pillows No soap, only shampoo It’s a low end hotel room With new plastic wood flooring and a wood wall. So overpriced.

Short Telluride Visit

My husband and I will definitely be staying here again when we go to Telluride next. We stayed for 2 nights. The location is perfect and right along the river trail that takes you right to the main street in Telluride. Also a short walk to great hikes in town and the gondola! The room was clean and had all the basics. Interactions with staff were pleasant and overall it was just a great stay!

Good location and reasonable price

We were in town to do the Imogene Pass run. The location was perfect for getting to the run shuttle and then being close to the finish line at the end. Walkable to everything you'd want to do in Telluride.

Good price, clean and quiet.

The only downside of the property is inadequate parking. I was directed to an off site public lot and told to park in the first 2 rows. I picked to wrong side of the parking lot and ended up with a ticket. very annoying end to an otherwise wonderful music filled weekend.

Great Inexpensive place to Stay!

My wife and I stayed here 3 nights. It’s close to the town, gondola and even some lifts (the gondola takes you to the others). It was the best deal we could find. It was clean and walking distance to everything. Would definitely stay here again.
