Beautiful apartment of two floors beautifully situated in the center of Leiden. 2 bedrooms, full kitchen and a large bathroom. Perfectly located in the heart of the city, at the end of the shopping street. All terraces, shops, restaurants and theaters are within walking distance. A dream apartment!
You enter on the ground floor. With the spiral staircase you go to the first floor, where the apartment is located. The house has a cozy living room with a beautiful wooden floor on the first floor. The open kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and combi microwave. On this floor there is also a separate toilet and laundry room with washing machine and dryer.
On the second floor, which has just been fitted with completely new carpet, there are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a comfortable box spring and an antique wardrobe. In the second bedroom there are two single beds. The bathroom has a shower and a wonderful bath to recover from a pleasant day in Leiden. This bathroom has no toilet. The location could not be better: in the middle of the old town, surrounded by dozens of restaurants, cafes and terraces. You do not need a taxi, because the entire center is within walking distance. Welcome to this top apartment in this beautiful city!


The entire apartment is at the guest's disposal.

In principle I am only there when checking in and when checking out. But if there is anything, I can always be reached!

At 50m. distance is the bus stop. The Central station is a 10-minute walk (through the shopping street).

Our stay in Leiden at this VRBO was absolutely lovely! It was as photographed and very clean. It is located on a quieter (but not completely quiet) portion of a busy shopping street. The surrounding neighborhood is lovely with numerous shops, restaurants, a nearby grocery, etc. It is easy to get around by walking and public transit, no car needed! The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom has both a bathtub and a relaxing rain shower. We did have a small issue at check in where the VRBO app gave us instructions to the wrong address, so if you reserve this VRBO be sure to use the address in the message from the host! Overall, I loved this VRBO and would reserve again on my next trip to Leiden.

This is a fabulous property in the lovely town of Leiden. The owner was very helpful and communicative which added to the experience. Only comments would be it’s worth noting there is a spiral staircase to access the property - lots of character but tricky to navigate big cases plus it’s on a Main Street - quietens down in the later evening but quite lively early on - overall thoroughly recommended

We loved the location! The property owners, Sabine & Martin communicated well and were very friendly. The apartment itself was modern but allowed the history to shine through. It was clean, bright and spacious. Very comfortable beds that made for a great night sleep each evening. All the amenities provided made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Location and overall set up was fantastic. We were able to walk most everywhere we wanted to go in Leiden.The suite could use some extra blankets, face cloths, and information about the neighbourhood and Leiden (map, interact locations, bike rentals, how to use the TV). The spiral stairs leading to the second floor are in need of repair or replacement as the handrail is so close to the wall that it's unusable. Overall, we loved our stay.

Perfect Location and Spacious Apartment

Sabine was the perfect hostess! She accommodated our early arrival by letting us drop our luggage off and even arrive early. Sabine walked us in detail through everything and the town of Leiden itself. The apartment is in an excellent location to really see and do all that Leiden has to offer (which is a lot). We fell in love with the town and the apartment and would absolutely come back and stay again. 3 of us stayed and there was more than enough space. For Europe it was quite large. Miss it already!!!

A very enjoyable stay

The accommodation is in a great location within the delightful town of Leiden with easy transport access to Amsterdam, Delft and Kerkenhof and beyond. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful and provided information as and when we needed it and respected our privacy. The apartment is well equipped, spacious, warm and comfortable.The two spiral staircases and toilet on the floor below the bedrooms was not ideal for us being older in our 70's and one with a dodgy knee but we managed. The accommodation description had been very clear about this and so it had been our choice.I did send a message via vrbo to the hosts to suggest bed heads for the single bedded room as the top of the beds do not butt up against a wall and my pillow kept falling off but I'm not sure if they received it.Altogether a very enjoyable stay of six nights.

Leiden ist eine bezaubern Stadt und Sabines Wohnung ist es auch! Die Wohnung ist sehr zentral gelegen. Bushaltestelle & Supermarkt gleich ums Eck. Die Küche ist so gut ausgestattet, dass es tatsächlich Spaß macht zu kochen. Man kann sich wunderbar zu viert in der Wohnung aufhalten und entspannen. Alles war makellos sauber und gepflegt, es gibt mehr als ausreichend Hand- und Geschirrtücher. Alle Geräte liefen tadellos. Last but not least: Sabine ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unser Fazit: schöner & entspannter mitten in der Stadt zu wohnen geht es fast nicht!

Schöne Ferienwohnung, liebenswerte Gastgeberin, tolle Lage.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang von der Gastgeberin. Eine schöne große und sehr saubere Ferienwohnung mit allem, was man benötigt. Modern eingerichtet. Die Treppe zu den Schlafzimmern und dem Bad ( Dusche und Badewanne) konnten auch unsere älteren Leutchen gut meistern. Die Lage ist toll.Nicht weit zum Centrum. Kann alles erlaufen werden. Leiden ist ein schönes Städtchen. Kleine Einkaufsstraßen, hübsche nette Gässchen. Zu Fuß oder mit dem Fahrrad gut zu erkunden. Viele Sehenswürdigkeiten. Empfehlenswert ista uf alle Fälle eine Bootsfahrt (Rembrandt) Parkplätze nicht so einfach und kostenpflichtig. Tageskarte 25 Euro. Durch einen Tipp haben wir dann außerhalb, ca 20 Minuten zu Fuß auf dem Rückweg kostenlos parken können, was sich bei 3 Übernachtungen gelohnt hat. Mit dem Bus kann man ganz bequem vom Hauptbahnhof in ca 15- 20 Minuten am Strand sein. Die Menschen hier sind alle sehr entspannt und freundlich. Lecker Essen gehen nicht unweit von der Unterkunft gut möglich. Sabine ist eine nette kommunikative Gastgeberin. Vielen Dank an Dich. Gerne werden wir deine Ferienwohnung wieder buchen und weiterempfehlen.

Fantastic location, immaculate spacious apartment

This place is a gem! Perfect location, 20 min walk to the Saturday Market in the heart of the centre. 5 min walk to a cheap parking garage (16 euro / 24 hours). The apt is in the first and second floor. Immaculate and it has all you need. Sabine was very punctual, welcoming and helpful. All in all myself and my friends had a good stay and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended!

Leiden ist eine Reise wert

Die sehr zentral gelegene Wohnung der Familie van der Klugt ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für zahlreiche Stadtspaziergänge und Bummel durch die schönen Geschäfte. Die Wohnung bietet allen Komfort, ist sehr sauber und mit bequemen Betten ausgestattet. Die Treppen sind eine kleine Herausforderung besonders für ältere Besucher, aber zu meistern, wenn man sich darauf eingestellt hat. Sabine er sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns mit guten Tipps zum Parken und Einkaufen beraten.
