The C'mon Inn is a comfortable hotel for families , travelers or business with a nice surprise.
Pros:Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet
The C'mon Inn is a nice surprise as you enter a spacious and inviting "great room" with a pleasant pool area with patio sets and lounges circling the pool and an attractive lobby area appointed with a nice fireplace, leather couches and flat screened TV. Some rooms face the pool on 2 sides with second floor rooms having balconies. Our room was not facing the pool but rather on the outside wall, but none of the rooms are far from the pool - just down a short hall and through glass doors. Our room was very quiet; we could not hear noise from the pool area. It was comfortable, clean, updated and nicely appointed. Our queen-sized bed was comfortable. There was also a flat-screen TV and recliner,refrigerator, iron and ironing board. I don't remember if there was a microwave. There is a mild chlorine smell as you walk into the lobby but it didn't bother us. We didn't see if there was an elevator. The pool is not very large, however, they are in the process of constructing an addition with a new pool and hot tub which is just beyond the present pool and separated by large windows. The staff told us they hope it will be finished by Christmas, 2011. Then they will fill in the present pool. A continental breakfast is available next to the pool area, however it would be nicer if they offered some protein, and maybe fresh waffles. They had an assortment of bagels, bread and waffles along with cold cereals & instant oatmeal; 2 jucies, coffee, tea..microwave and toaster. The staff was friendly and helpful. Thief River Falls is a pleasant, friendly, nice-sized community rather than a small town and the hotel is located on the south side very close to the clinic, stores and some restaurants. We would recommend this hotel to anyone.
