Villa Charlana is a beautiful detached villa with a private swimming pool, located in the exclusive Los Mojones area of Puerto del carmen in Lanzarote. Conveniently situated close to the golden sandy beaches and within walking distance to many excellent Canarian and international style restaurants, bars and supermarkets.

The house has a spacious open plan lounge with fully fitted kitchen and quality furniture. The twin bedroom and family sized marble bathroom occupy the ground floor along with the kitchen and ample lounge/dining room. The master suite with a solid wooden flooring and en-suite bathroom are situated on the first floor with fabulous sea views from the two terraces.

The private heated pool is surrounded by sunbathing areas, a BBQ and private walled gardens. A covered pergola over the al fresco dining area, provides shade for the hotter days of summer. There is also a gated driveway with electric gates for those who wish to hire a car.

A large Lidl supermarket as well as the largest shopping centre of Puerto del Carmen are both less than a 5 minute walk away. The main strip of Puerto del Carmen, with its golden sandy beaches is barely a 10 minute walk away.

Excellent stay

Loved the location of the villa. It was about 10 minute walk at most to the restaurants by the sea. A fantastic new bar/restaurant has opened 5 minutes walk away and the supermarket 6 minutes walk. It was a quiet area and the villa was ideal for our two week stay. Bit of a tight squeeze to park the car in the parking space at the front of the villa.

Great holiday in Puerto Del Carmen.

The villa is well equipped and in a great location. Other reviews mention the road noise, to be honest it is evident during the day but in the evening it is relatively quiet. The TV channels only had SKY News, but we didn't come away to watch TV anyway. A welcome pack would have been a nice touch especially if you are new to the area. The villa could do with a touch up as it is a little tired in areas but it has a warm and homely feel. For two people the outside area is adequate but four may be a little crowded for sun bathing, and the pool is only for cooling off. On the last day we had no water with no explanation given by the management team, so it was bottled water and kettles!!! All in all we had a great holiday and we would definately use the villa again. The comments are an honest reflection and if some things are tweeked then it would deserve five stars. Gemma communicated in a timely fashion and was great to deal with. GK

Great place to stay near to amenities

A great place to stay near to the local shops and restaurants,the villa was clean and well presented, so cleaning equipment would be helpful if you were staying longer than a week The pool is a dipping pool so perfect for cooling off, but not big enough to swim in however the beach is only 10 mins walk and is great.also the wifi is very hit and miss so make sure your data is topped up

lovely holiday just the garden overgrown we had to lop the bushes to get in and out of the pool even though we reported it .also i think the matress on the double bed needs changing its full of lumps

Well positioned, compact, modern and clean villa, that needs a little attention outside

This villa is well positioned and elevated. Access to the old town and port area, and the more up-beat 'strip' with its many shops bars and restaurants, is walkable, though there is a climb back. Shops and Supermarket very close by. The accommodation is compact, with a double and a twin bedroom. The upstairs suite has a bathroom and two sea-facing terraces. Downstairs is a further bedroom, bathroom and living space - all quite adequate. The shower was not as powerful as it might have been. In the kitchen we found everything we required for cooking dinner (which we did every other evening). Outside, the garden did require attention (Feb 17) - one plant did actually impede entry to the pool steps, and another was getting to invade the patio space. The pool is very small and suitable for a cooling plunge. Two strokes would take you from one end to the other. We did not use the pool, given the time of year, some inclement weather, and strong winds blowing leaf debris into the water. Also at the time the pool was in need of repair. As there was only 2 of us, we had a very good supply of towels, and decent sized bath towels. When we arrived the only provisions that were left from previous tenants, consisted of salt pepper and ant spray - virtually no loo roll, nor wash-up liquid - compared to what accumulates in other villas it was very sparse. The villa is situated on a very busty road - Salinas is a 'rat-run' for taxi's and delivery vans, though the traffic noise did not affect us. On the other hand, the pool equipment (heater maybe) was a constant drone and could be heard at all hours - some soundproofing would be very welcomed. The outside terraces are uncovered. The one facing east is overlooked, the one to the south is not. The patio terrace cover did not stop the squally showers from blowing rain right under. As a result, in inclement weather we were driven indoors. Overall, would say this is a very nice villa, which could be made much better if a couple of the issues were addressed

Voordelen : Deze wonig is zeer goed uitgerust. Dicht tegen de restaurants (op 500 tot 1500 meter zijn er ruim voldoende restaurants en winkels. We mochten op onze vertrekdag nog wat langer blijven (late vlucht) wat heel aangenaam was. nadelen : Zeer slechte wifi, uiteindelijk hebben wij ons een locale simkaart gekocht. Veel lawaai van het verkeer op de staat gedurende de nacht. Zeer slechte bedden die dringend aan vervanging toe zijn.
