Please note if you come in winter we leave enough wood for the first day or two. More wood can be purchased in Tinchbury (5 min drive). The house can be cold in the winter for the first few days before it heats up, if no guests have just vacated it. Although lovely in the winter, please do consider this when booking.
You would have the whole of the house and gardens, there is no shared, or attached accommodation. Please do note there are a lot of internal steps due to the age and layout of the property, it is therefore not suitable for elderly or people with disabilities.
A great place with nice grounds in a quiet rural location and great value for money. Very well equipped with all you need for a great stay. Hot tub in garden great for a nice sundowner.Good location for exploring northern and central Normandy.Pre arrival communication and information from Stuart the host was excellent. A couple of niggles which didnât spoil our stay but promptly responded to otherwise would have given an overall 5 star rating.Enjoyed so much that booked again for August.
House is gorgeous and the garden is great and enclosed enough for our dog to roam! If you have one that goes looking for escape holes you would have to keep on a long lead maybe. There are concrete tiled stairs from the kitchen to the dining room that have a drop to the side that should be railed in - the dog fell backwards on first day and we nearly lost Nannie once or twice!! Also the spiral stairs are not pet friendly â maybe a stair gate to stop more adventurous dogs for injuring themselves. My dog did not attempt them but if I had slept upstairs he might have come to find me? We could not get the router to work so had no WIFI so any longer than a couple of days would have been a massive inconvenience.Fix those niggles or be clearer about potential issues and it would be near perfect!!
