Chesterman Beach is large and flat, with firm beach sand, unlike many beaches. With firm sand, it's perfect for walking, running, or riding a bike. Surfside Lodge is a bright, fresh surffront location nestled perfectly in an old-growth forest with a direct opening on the "surfside" to the wide-open beauty of the Pacific Ocean. The upper-level open floor plan is equipped with a gourmet kitchen complete with all you need to cook your favorites. The living room has spacious seating and a gas fireplace- perfect for après cocktails or game night. The large dining area offers sliding doors to a large outdoor terrace complete with a gas BBQ.

The upper level hosts the master bedroom with a king-size bed and full bathroom, all this overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The second bedroom on the lower level includes a sitting area, a large flat-screen TV and 2 twin beds. On the lower level, the third room has a king-size bed and sliding doors to the outside deck/boardwalk leading out to the hot tub and ocean. The 3rd-floor lookout houses a small nook for reading, working, or simply watching the surf. The ground floor outdoor decking is complete with a lit boardwalk to get you safely to the hot tub and beach, day or night. Host Rules
Renter's Agreement: Guests must sign the Renter's Agreement to confirm their reservation.
Age min: must be 25 years or older to book

Guest Limit: As per Tofino Bylaws, a maximum of 6 guests (including babies and children) are allowed. If a reservation exceeds this limit, we reserve the right to ask the guests to leave.

Peak Summer Bookings (July–August): 7-night minimum stay (unless it fills a gap)
No 1-night gaps between reservations
If you receive a "host unavailable" message despite seeing availability, please contact us. Our booking system has specific rules and may require manual adjustments.
Minimum Stay: 3-night minimum year-round.

Pet Policy: Up to 2 dogs allowed, Must be approved by the owner before booking., Sorry no cats allowed!

Caretaker/Tenant On-Site: In order to operate as a short term rental, A long-term tenant lives in a separate caretaker suite, as required by Tofino Bylaws. You will have access to the whole VR side however you will share the driveway ONLY.

Quiet Hours: Strict 10 PM – 8 AM policy. Please respect our neighbors and the local community. Any noise complaints may be subject to additional fee's.

Cancellation Policy
• 30-day notice required for a full refund.
• Cancellations within the 30 days: Non-refundable.

Accidental Damage Protection: Accidental Damage Protection is included in the total cost of your reservation—there is no additional fee after booking, as it is automatically applied at the time of purchase. This coverage protects against accidental damages up to $1,000 that may occur during your stay.
Please note: This protection does not apply to damages caused by parties, unauthorized events, or negligent behavior. It is strictly intended for unintentional mishaps that may happen while you're staying in the home.
