I was really upset about not being able to check-in at 1500. When I called and they said they had to turn over 100 rooms and that I might not be able to check in at the normal time of 1600 either. This really made me fussy as it was the KU Homecoming football game which started at 1500. I said to the hostess that we had a 5:00 wedding and needed to change clothes. I assumed that many of the "turnover" rooms were for people already at the game so why can't we have one of them since those travelers are not waiting in the lobby. She said she couldn't do that. I asked about a manager on duty but they wouldn't arrive until 1900. We had to go to another hotel where friends were staying to get ready. Needless to say, we won't stay at a DoubleTree in a long time. They did NOT offer us anything for the inconvenience.

Liked location and access to Kansas Turnpike. Pleasant atmosphere. Travelocity listing promised breakfast included. Hotel insisted we pay for breakfast and that only Hilton Honors silver and above received included breakfast. I plan to seek a refund for the breakfast, but this was not a pleasant experience.

The young lady receptionist was very friendly and professional. She went above and beyond in handling our many requests. She even provided us some free cookies.
