Witness for yourself one of the most amazing panoramic views in the Smoky Mountains located on Nantahala Lake. Nantahala Lake is one of the most pristine lakes in America. Explore the waterfalls and other amenities of our natural environment.

You will be consumed by your ability to relax and enjoy Lake Nantahala. You will make it a must visit place on your calendar each year. Our home is surrounded by floor to ceiling windows that offer views of the lake and mountain range that you won't soon forget; not to mention the three full length decks. You're only a few yards from being on the dock relaxing or in front of the fire pit making smores and sharing your fun filled day with others. There are kayaks and paddle boat for your lake enjoyment. Also, a foosball table, table games, movie library three deck levels of outdoor seating. Enjoy your coffee early each morning in the cool mountain air while gazing at 5,600 feet mountain peaks and day dreaming at the beauty.

The Lake Nantahala area has a lot of local activities. You are within 45 minutes to an hour of shopping, antiquing, crafts, white water rafting, U.S. Forest trails, horseback ridding, mineral and gem mines, golf, gambling in Cherokee, snow skiing, bluegrass concerts. Mountainside Theater, located in the heart of Cherokee Indian Country. The theater is famous for its production of “Unto These Hills”, which is a live re-enactment of the story behind the Cherokee Indian historic “Trail of Tears” journey. Or, hop aboard the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad for your choice of scenic family train rides or romantic gourmet dining. The Railroad also presents a Mystery Theater dinner on select Friday nights.

This house exceeded our expectations. Spacious and equipped with everything that you need. The quiet, peaceful location is perfect for relaxing and boating. We loved using the kayaks and canoe available by the dock. If you rent a boat from the marina, you can keep it overnight at the dock. Unlike some properties that have long staircases to get to the dock, this one is very close, just few steps from the lower deck. The views from the firepit were amazing, it helps when the full moon makes an entrance :). The owners were fantastic and very responsive.

We had a wonderful family vacation as this house had everything you could want. Very clean and lots of great amenities. I was hesitant to try to drive the car down the driveway but we had a 4-wheel drive which had no difficulty. Probably could have made it but didn’t need to take the chance. The house was great for the 9 of us as everyone had their own space and all had a great time. Fishing, swimming, s’mores over the campfire and lots of relaxing on the deck with great views. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We were very pleased with this place. Very roomy and had everything we needed. We quickly selected our rooms and moved in for a great stay. Enjoyed the fire places on the cool evenings andmornings. We fished and caught trout. We just had a great time! Our 11 yr old Grandson especially enjoyed the ping pong, air hockey, basketball and foosball. He was never bored. Great House on a Pristine Lake!

We had an amazing stay at Dwight’s house! The property was well-stocked with everything a typical family might need. The master bedroom was spacious and luxurious, and our teenagers absolutely loved the middle-level bunk room, complete with a couch, TV, and easy access to the game room garage. The balconies on each level offered stunning views of the lake, which we enjoyed every day. Renting a boat was a great decision, and having the dock right there was a huge plus. We also made good use of the kayaks and canoe to explore the pristine lake. Evenings by the deck fireplace were a highlight, offering the perfect way to unwind after a day of various outdoor activities. As for accessibility, the house is about 10-12 minutes from the main road, with somewhat steep and winding roads, but we were well-prepared thanks to other reviews. The driveway is indeed a challenge due to its steepness and a single switchback. We had an SUV and a newer sedan; while the sedan managed, it wasn’t easy, especially when it rained. Luckily, there’s a turnoff at the top of the driveway where you can park if you prefer not to navigate the driveway in the rain. I’d recommend bringing at least one SUV or truck if possible. Overall, the house, its amenities, the lake, and nearby outdoor activities more than made up for these minor challenges. We highly recommend this home for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

Best vacation ever

Every year I spend weeks, if not months, looking for the perfect place for us to stay on vacation. This was the perfect place. The house was amazing with so much space. The dock was amazing anlso, and 3 levels of porches that had the best view ever!!! My husband is a man of few words and he told me several times how great of a choice I made. The house was cozy and cute. The game room was perfect ( I won basket ball twice ) the fire pit area was unbelievable. Was nice to have the satellite as we watched several movies. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of towels to use while swimming. The drive up to the home is beautiful. The drive way is not for a weak driver!!! All in all this home is definitely a 10 in my book!!! We did rent a book and spent the day on the lake which was the best way to spend a day. Lakes End Marina had the perfect boat. The staff was great and the kids spent almost all day on the tube. Probably the best vacation we’ve had and we take several a year. Highly recommend this home for the perfect vacation spot❀

Stunning lake front cabin!!

I had an absolutely incredible stay at this rental home on Lake Nantahala! The views were truly breathtaking, and waking up to the serene lake every morning was a dream come true. The amenities were top-notch, including a game room, making the entire experience even more enjoyable with kids. The private boat dock was a fantastic addition, allowing us to explore the lake at our leisure. I can't recommend this place enough - five stars all the way!

We weren’t sure that the weather would be suitable for kayaking and canoeing but it was! We enjoyed going over to the little island and just paddling around our side of the lake. The water level is way down so it is tricky and muddy to get the boats to the water edge, but it didn’t stop us. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoyed the fireplaces and firepit too. Kitchen has everything you need, we cooked Thanksgiving dinner here for everyone. I loved sitting on the deck with my coffee in the morning. What everyone else has said is true and explained in the listing-it’s a tricky driveway and the roads in are winding. It’s not a quick trip to town so plan your trips accordingly. We did go to the Nantahala Outdoor Center and have lunch at Riversend which was really good. We also made a trip to Ingles in Andrews for groceries. For coffee drinkers, the coffee pot is a regular drip one, so bring ground not pods. That’s always my first question. The game room was fun for the teens especially with basketball, ping pong, foozeball and air hockey. It was a lovely home and we’d love to visit again in the summer and take full advantage of the lake!

Great getaway place

Nice relaxing lake house. The house is very clean and the supplied linens and towels were so helpful. We couldn't get the main level gas fireplace to go and couldn't find any instructions for it. The canoe was nice and the dock was really great for fishing and launching from, the kayaks provided are in rough shape just avoid them and bring your own. Kitchen has everything we needed for cooking for the whole crew, only complaint was the dishwasher lower rack kept coming off track and the incessant beeping after a load drove us nuts. Would definitely visit again. Take note too this place is FAR out so know youre 30 mins from a grocery store and 45 mins from a walmart it's better to get everything before you get there and just plan on staying at the house.

Just wish the driveway wasn’t so steep and hard to get in and out of. Wasn’t there long enough to call about the fireplace usage in living room that would’ve been nice to use. Otherwise it was decent for our extreme short trip. Thanks

Dwight was the perfect host. House was perfect for our family. Plenty of bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens and bathrooms and our family enjoyed the game room on rainy afternoons. The view of the lake was spectacular. Couldn’t ask for a better vacation. Looking forward to returning

Lake Weekend

Wonderful property as advertised! Can’t say enough. Great views, fireplace overlooking the water, and a game room for the kids. All the bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was truly well stocked. The drive in is easily discernible with the Owner’s detailed instructions and the driveway is no steeper than others we have stayed at on the lake. If you navigate with a device, have your directions loaded ahead of time because there is no cellular coverage. Just be prepared for gravel roads and a steady low gear to get up the hill. Our group loved everything about our stay and will be back!

Great Lake retreat!!!

We enjoyed our stay! The house, dock and amenities were all amazing. The only negative was the speed of the Wi-Fi. We had a great week and would certainly recommend and visit again!

Wonderful Retreat

My family and I loved staying at this house! It had plenty of room and a gorgeous view of the lake. It has lots of space and is so cozy. We loved hanging out on the dock, swimming, and using the kayaks. We were lucky to have a full moon while we were there and it was amazing over the lake. We also loved using the fire pit at night.
