We are excited to offer you the opportunity to stay in this stunning 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment at Mar Menor Golf Resort overlooking a Jack Nicklaus designed golf course.

In addition to the 18-hole golf course, the resort has a 5-star hotel, gym, a world class spa, numerous communal swimming pools, tennis courts, mini golf, table tennis, bike hire, a supermarket and several restaurants and bars. It is located just a 10 minute drive from the beautiful Los Alcázares beach and the Mar Menor lagoon which has fantastic water sports facilities. The resort is just 25 minutes from Murcia International Airport and 55 minutes from Alicante Airport.

The resort is set within a gated community and is extremely popular all year round for families, groups, couples and golfers.

THE APARTMENT - "ZARZA" (License number VV.MU.1569-1)
A spacious and bright 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment, which sits on the 2nd floor and directly overlooks the 15th hole of the beautiful golf course, with a fantastic view of the lake and also of the 13th and 14th holes. There is lift and stairs access to the apartment.

The property comes with air conditioning for cooling and heating, TV, DVD player and Free WiFi. The apartment has a large balcony terrace which is accessible from the living room and master bedroom.

We include a Meet & Greet service at the apartment & Welcome Pack services can also be purchased.

The apartment comes fully equipped and includes a BBQ so you can enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, washing machine, cooker, microwave, toaster and kettle. There is also a travel cot and a high chair available for any little ones.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed with a large en-suite bathroom, with a full-sized bath and two wash basins. Bedroom 2 includes twin single beds with a balcony view of the swimming pool. Bedroom 3 has two single beds and has a balcony view over the lake. The second bathroom includes a walk-in shower and has two wash basins.

All guests receive wristbands for use at the swimming pool, which is directly outside the apartment block, as well as more than a dozen other pools on the resort.

The apartment is only 3 minutes' walk from the 5-star Caleia Hotel & Spa, golf clubhouse, restaurants and bars and less than 5-minute walk from the Spar supermarket.

Bike hire is available and you will find bicycle tracks located all around the resort. The area around the Mar Menor is made for cyclists, as it is the best way to explore the natural parks, beaches and open areas. Wide promenades with cycle lanes run along the sandy fringes of the Mar Menor.

MAR MENOR GOLF RESORT

Set in a beautiful position within the Murcian countryside and framed by a stunning mountain backdrop, the resort offers a fantastic Jack Nicklaus designed 18-hole golf course, as well as padel tennis facilities and an Intercontinental Hotel, which has a luxurious spa and gym. If you’re looking for a family holiday, Mar Menor is also a great choice, with kids' playgrounds available, 15 communal pools, and the El Boulevard complex, which has a great selection of bars and restaurants. GOLF

The Jack Nicklaus designed 18-hole golf course is the magnificent centrepiece of the resort. A wide range of golfing facilities are available, including opportunities to practice on the putting green and driving range, as well as a pro shop and equipment hire. SPA

The luxurious spa at the 5-star Caleia Hotel offers a wide range of relaxing treatments, including hot stone signature treatments, massages, facials, pedicures, manicures and more. Facilities include a spa, sauna, indoor pool, Jacuzzi and steam room.

TENNIS

There is a tennis court within the Social Club. There are also 8 padel tennis courts on the resort. Here you will find a padel tennis shop, café and a professional who will be glad to teach you.

GYM & FITNESS

Guests have the use of a gym within the resort hotel, which is an excellent, fully-equipped fitness studio. The gym features state-of-the-art equipment including free weights, cardio and strength machines, with personal trainers and gym instructors also on hand to help. There is also an additional mini-gym, which can be found over by the padel tennis courts.

KIDS’ CLUB

There is a kids’ club at the hotel, where entertainment is guaranteed thanks to the fun-filled programmes. The monitors will greet children with an arranged agenda of play and sporting activities as well as workshops that change depending on the weekday. Every day is an opportunity to learn while playing, from painting and drawing to imaginative plays and puppet theatre.

SHOPPING & AMENITIES

On-site at Mar Menor, you will find a mini-market where you can pick up your grocery essentials for your stay, as well as English newspapers and magazines. There is a larger supermarket and further grocery shops in the nearby town of Los Alcázares, as well as some nice boutique and gift shops. In Murcia and Cartagena you will also be able to find large department stores and outlet malls. Also in the resort is a bank with 24-hour cash machine, taxi rank, free bus service to beaches and local shopping centre, plus a public bus service just outside the resort.

RESTAURANTS & BARS

There is a variety of excellent restaurants and bars offering everything from light snacks to full meals and á la carte dining. There are further options within the resort hotel, as well as at the entrance of the resort in the 'El Boulevard' development. There is also a huge array of places to eat in Los Alcázares. Here you will find everything from Spanish to English cuisine, Italian and Chinese among others.

COSTA CÁLIDA

Literally translated as ‘warm coast’, this relatively undiscovered area of Spain has the mildest climate in the country and offers visitors the chance to discover authentic Spain. With two seas to choose from - the Mediterranean and the Mar Menor - the coastline offers impressive cliffs, wonderful beaches, lively harbours and secluded coves. Huge plains, dramatic mountain ranges and national parks with lush forests are what define the interior landscape, giving visitors the chance to relax and enjoy nature or participate in the many activities on offer.

BEACHES & WATERSPORTS

The Mar Menor is the largest coastal lagoon in Europe, offering a large choice of sandy beaches and calm bathing conditions, with sunbed and parasol hire. The Mar Menor is shallow, with warm water, a non-tidal haven for watersports enthusiasts and those who enjoy the safety of this tranquil “little sea”. The urban blue flag sandy beach of Los Alcázares is just 10 minutes from the golf resort. In summer, the water in the Mar Menor can be 5°C (9°F) warmer than the Mediterranean, making it very popular with sailors and windsurfers. Local water sports centres offer sailing, windsurfing, canoeing courses and jet skiing. For a relaxing day or half-day out, take a boat trip to one of the five small volcanic islands in the middle of the Mar Menor. Diving/snorkelling is also available, 30 minutes drive away from the golf resort at Cabo de Palos, one of the best places in Europe for diving, due to its unusual marine geography. Here the continental shelf is so narrow that there is an immediate drop and this, coupled with the warm water, means it has some of the most abundant marine life in the Western Mediterranean.

HORSE RIDING

Horse riding along the beach is very popular; the beautiful Andalusian horses carry you through some of the most striking areas in the Calblanque National Park. Once you reach the wide beach areas, galloping along the beach is an experience to remember. Alternatively, the popular mountain hack includes walking and trotting around the mountains. The trained leaders will guide you up and around the stunning Murcian Mountains that will provide you with breathtaking views of the beautiful surroundings. This mountain hack is entirely off-road, away from traffic, to let you enjoy the true beauty of the region. The Rancho de la Fuenta Stables are located 20 minutes from the golf resort at the town of Los Belones, with around 60 horses available for both adults and children.

LOS ALCÁZARES

This quaint town is perfect for dining out. The popular golden sandy beach has sunbeds and parasols available to hire. Along the 5-mile continuous promenade there is an abundance of snack bars and restaurants to stop for lunch or to venture back to in the evening. Los Alcázares also has an old town which can be reached via an easy stroll along the promenade.

MURCIA

The fabulous city of Murcia is the capital of the Costa Cálida. One of the famous visiting points is the Cathedral de Santa Maria, which is located at the plaza del Cardinal Belluga.

CARTAGENA

20 minutes drive from the golf resort is this charming, compact, coastal city that became great during the Roman times when Hannibal set off from here with his elephants on his journey to Rome. There are so many things to see, with over a dozen museums, 10 buildings of interest and four noteworthy churches.
