About this property

#18: Acadia Lodge. King Bed. AC. (Open Hearth Inn)

Lodge 18 is a quaint room on the 2ND-FLOOR of the Lodges Building with a king bed, full bath, refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, A/C, cable, television, full-sized futon, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, and free Wi-Fi. This room is perfect for guests of up to 4 guests. As with all guests who join our Ohana, there is full access to the indoor kitchen downstairs in the main building, the outdoor kitchen and grill, full access to the common use hot tub, and the bonfire pit on the back lawn.
Pet Policy:

Here at Open Hearth Inn we welcome your four-legged family member. However, we ask you to help us with the following pet rules while staying with us.

1. Please don't leave your pet in the rooms unattended.

Why? Because they miss you and from our experience of being professional hosts since the 90's, when they are lonely they howl or bark causing others to lose the quiet enjoyment on the property. Lonely pets also use the bed or other furniture to snuggle on while you are away. This is super tough for our housekeepers to remedy because blankets or comforters need to be washed or replaced, also furnishings can take hours to remove hair from so we can present a clean space for the next guest.

Maine is a very pet friendly place and since you brought them on vacation we hope you keep them with you so they can enjoy "Vacation Land" as much as humans do.

2. Please pick up all the poop/excrement they may have.

3. Please have your pup on a leash when enjoying the common areas.

4. Please try to refrain your dog from barking.

We have dog treats, extra poo bags and a water bowl in the common room.

*There will be an additional cleaning fee charged if your pet makes a mess of the room or the bedding. We hope that you and your four-legged family member have a great stay here at Open Hearth Inn.

No other notes. Feel free to ask any questions. :)
Simply self-check-in properties. Customer service is available 24/7. Feel free to message and we will get back to you within two hours. :)
Trenton is the town just off of Mount Desert Island which is home to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor. We are just a mile from the first park picnic area and shortly after the fabled trails of Acadia including Beehive, Precipice, Cadillac Mtn, Beech Mtn, Little Long Pond, and all the popular tours like boating, puffins, lobstering, and lighthouses! It's an adventurer's paradise and that is exactly why we bought the Open Hearth Inn ;).

Free parking right outside your door! Bakery and Lunts Lobster shop within about a 1 min walk just across the road. Trenton is the gateway to Acadia and the park starts just half a mile down the road!

Lodge 18 (one of four lodges) is located in the LODGE BUILDING above Apartment 16. All lodges have a small counter space, mini-fridge, coffee pot, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, television, and free wifi along with a full-sized futon. A gorgeous part of The Open Hearth Inn, the lodges are spacious open rooms perfect for 4 guests (Lodge 17 or Lodge 18) or 6 guests (Lodge 19 or Lodge 20) to relax and rest after a long day of hiking.

Parking is available in front of the lodges.

The basis of the Open Hearth Inn is the main house, built in the 1820's it's best known for its historic charm. Convenient location
Nice property for the price. A bit of communication difficulty due to a recent management change, but they worked hard to get it sorted out. Very near the Bar Harbor airport.

Great Location for Acadia
Welcoming and easy online check-in process. Room was clean, bright and spacious and there was a nice deck outside. The kitchenette had the basics and the excellent local coffee supplied for the coffee pot was a real treat! We were concerned about the traffic noise given the corner location, but it really died down overnight and wasn’t an issue. Bakery across the street was a big plus as was the hot tub on-site. Easy drive to Acadia, Bar Harbour and surrounding areas.

Location
Bakery across the street is awesome and lobster pound around the corner is great too! We had an issue with TV when we first got there and problem was taken care of instantly. Hot water showering is a huge issue. Sometimes we had hot water but mostly we didn’t, the day we were leaving no hot water at all. I said something and was told we could have used shower in main building (not an acceptable solution). I was told problem was taken care of after we left.

cozy with great location
The studio was very clean and adequately equipped. We loved the location--across the street from a lovely bakery, close to a good lobster place, and only 10 minutes from Acadia.

Overnight Stop
Clean, spacious, well appointed. Outside stairs too steep for our dog. Paper thin walls. Adjacent room chatter at 4am was not appreciated.
