Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

Perfect for family ski trip

We had an amazing time enjoying this wonderful home. Plenty of space to hangout, play games and even do a private chef dinner. This accommodated multiple families with kids and there was tons of space for all of us. Also, conveniently located within a short drive to Palisades. The small river running through the back of the property was an added delight.

Fabulous Truckee river front stay

The Hunter cabinet was perfect for our group of six couples. Sitting area by the river was our favorite spot to “hang” when not golfing or fishing. Beautifully built Olsen home with custom amenities throughout. Well appointed kitchen with all you need. Only challenges were a bit of road noise and temperature.

Beautiful home on the river.

Our stay was great and I would have given it a higher rating, but the property management company (Avantstay) has horrible communication skills! We asked for an early check in and I received 12 emails from them telling me to click on a site that was impossible to access! Just by chance someone was restocking the home when we arrived and let us in. I never received a welcome message containing any necessary info, which was a first! The home easily accommodated our party of 10, but one of the upstairs bedrooms had a bed that was so high that it needed a step stool to get into! My suggestion to VRBO is to hire a different management company.

The cabin at Truckee was amazing. It offers beautiful views of the forest but was still close enough to the town to venture out to shop and enjoy local cuisine! Cannot recommend this property enough

Spacious house for multiple families

This is a beautiful house with wonderful amenities. The rooms are spread out so you don't hear other people moving around. The bathrooms are modern and comfortable. The grounds of the house are beautiful, with the river on one side and forest on the other. The location is convenient to Truckee and Lake Tahoe as well. It was a perfect home base for two families to come together and celebrate a wedding!

Great huge family house

The house is huge, with 5 ensuite bedrooms in main house and a full size studio apartment over the garage. The house was totally clean and the kitchen very very well stocked with dishes, tools and gear. Location halfway between Tahoe City and Truckee could not have been better. And the river! A constant fresh white noise day and night.

New Years ski trip 2022

The property is nice, but the owner should invest in updating and fixing some simple items. Fire place did not work, door from kitchen to garage was broken, direct tv did not work, bedding was very old. Two of the bathroom showers had very bad drainage. If you stay during the winter make sure you bring good warm socks to walk on the master bath floor. It was freezing! The location was perfect for skiing Squaw!!

Perfect home for a mini-reunion among friends

This home is beautiful and the location is perfect. Right on the river and very close to the lake and Squaw Valley. Perfect for entertaining with our group. The management company Avant Stay was very responsive and helpful before and during the stay. Definitely recommend.

River House

This is a nice house, but not conducive to a summer stay. Because the house is near the river, we were unable to open the windows because of the gnats, and the bedrooms were extremely warm even with a ceiling fan. Most of the windows had no screens. The shower in the casita was not clean and the bed was a queen, not a king.
